"The following match is scheduled for one fall and is a first-round contest in the Lord of the Ring Tournament!"
"Beast (Southpaw Remix; no intro)" by Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard ft. Busta Rhymes, Kxng Crooked & Tech N9ne
"I'M A MOTHERFUCKING BEAST!"
As Busta Rhymes' verse in the Southpaw Remix of "Beast" begins, Jerod Barnez pops out from behind the curtain with his hands held high in fists. Sporting his in-ring attire, entrance shirt, and a pair of black sunglasses, Jerod stands at the top of the stage, keeping his hands up for a few seconds, until the yells of being a motherfucking beast are heard again, before bringing his arms down, as a grin comes across his face. "The Descendant of a God" begins his march to the ring, while he bobs his head along to the music.
"Introducing first...from Detroit Michigan, weighing in tonight at 291 pounds, he is ‘The Descendent of God’ Jerod Barnez!"
As Jerod makes his way down the ramp, he tends to focus on the ring, but he occasionally interacts with fans, sometimes to disrespectfully taunt them, other times to point out ones wearing his merchandise. Once having reached the ring, Barnez walks up the steel steps and then enters through the middle and top ropes. Inside, he heads to the nearest corner of the ring and ascends to the middle rope, proceeding to raise his fist once more, still smirking arrogantly as he does so. Barnez drops back down to the canvas and takes off his sunglasses, nonchalantly tossing them out of the ring, never to wear that specific pair again, before pulling off his shirt and tossing that as well.
"Defiant" By Tuker Lucy ft. Brett Barkhouse
"And his opponent..."
The arena goes dark as smoke begins to fill the air. Brett Barkhouse harmonizing is promptly replaced by first flurry of lyrics from Tuker Lucy, setting the mood for the first encounter between Jacob Eulson and Jerod Barnez. As the bridge drops and the song begins to kick into high gear. "The Fynal Synner", whose face is half painted emerald and white, dances from behind the curtain to the music.
"From Los Angeles, California by way of Miami, Florida. Accompanied to the ring by the “Entity of Entities”, Sean Young. Weighing tonight at two-hundred and ten pounds. He is known as the "Fynal Synner" Jacob Eulson!"
Draped in emerald green attire Jacob dances around in the surrounding smoke, engulfing himself in the process. Following him out with his head tucked into his chest, Sean recites the lyrics with each step. Proceeding forward from the stage and onto the ramp, Eulson reemerges to a symphony of boos and his pyrotechnics exploding from the stage beside him. Stopping his little jig as the pyrotechnic smoke dissipates, Eulson takes the time to bask in the glory of the icy reception of the XWA faithful Some beginning to cheer, not only for Sean, but even a few for the “Forgotten” one. Eulson scales the steel stairs and joins Jerod Barnez in the ring. Eulson scales the turnbuckle diagonal from his opponent and raises his arms, basking in an encore from the conflicted crowd. Ever the showman Eulson leaps backward to the mat, twisting quickly to face Jerod Barnez who continues to ignore the existence of the leader of the "Eulson Era."
DING DING DING!
Throughout history, there have been numerous battles that signify defiance and the will of a smaller army: The Battle of Okehazama, The Battle of Gate Pa, and most spoken about, David and Goliath. All of the aforementioned pale in comparison to Jacob Eulson versus Jerod Barnez in the Lord of the Ring opener. Two men known for their extreme capabilities and both men hated by the crowd, most would believe this battle could only end in one way, destruction for Jacob Eulson. However, one cannot forget the added leverage of Sean Young patiently waiting for a chance to strike on the outside. Jerod Barnez may be the reason why Frank Lawson finds himself currently on the inactive list, but Eulson has made his intentions of progressing in the Lord of the Ring tournament abundantly clear earlier in the evening. The reverberant bell rings, sparking a mocking smile from Barnez, taunting his smaller adversary forward. With a look of underestimation gleaming in his eye, Jerod holds his hand out for a Greco-Roman Knuckle Lace, looking to get the quick upper hand on Eulson. The "Fynal Synner", head tilted, mutters "Fuck it, I'll play your game" as he reaches up to enter the test of strength only for Barnez to pull his hands out of Jacob’s reach. The slightly smaller competitor takes a step back and tilts his head more as he looks into the soul of his disrespectful second-generation opposition. “The Descendant of a God” chuckles to himself garnering a smirk from "The Seance" before taking charging towards Barnez, leaping and turning himself around into a wheelbarrow position, throwing himself up and over into a Reverse DDT. Much to his dismay, the man from Detroit effortlessly maintains Jacob Eulson's weight on his shoulder in a compromising position. Taking full advantage of the situation, the Hall of Famer storms towards a turnbuckle, tossing Eulson up looking for a Snake’s Eyes. The California native manages to avoid the turnbuckle though, sliding down off Jerod's back and taking off full speed to the opposite ropes. As he attempted in both his matches with Sean Young and Razor Xtreme, "The Golden Child" takes flight and plants the soles of his feet into his opponent's brawny chest with an explosive Rocket Kick he calls, Warning Shot! Still unsure on how to react to Jacob Eulson's sudden "change of heart", the reaction of the Tokyo Dome splits down the middle.
"Goddammit, I should've taken that bet with Rainbow. DO A DIFFERENT MOVE, JACOB! We've seen that Rocket Kick already, guy!"
"Why fix what isn't broken, Matt? The move proved to give Eulson an early advantage in his last two matches. A perfectly timed signature move can be a sign of an early night for some talents."
"Why fix it?! If this kid wants to succeed and FINALLY WIN a championship in this industry he'll need to learn not to follow the same routine every single match! Tell ole Iron Giant that I'm right, Kaida!"
"While Sanction is correct that surprising your adversary with a surprise signature move could lead to an early night, Jacob should stray away from telegraphing his game plan to avoid less fruitful returns."
"Ha! Take that Rollie Pollie Ollie!"
"...I don't even get that reference."
The shotgun explosion of the Rocket Kick surprisingly doesn't take Barnez off his feet, instead, as the dust settles he finds himself in the ring ropes with Eulson opting to run to the ropes once again. He charges with a full head of steam at Jerod who ducks slightly, tossing "The Forgotten" up and over the ropes to the outside. Skinning the cat and landing on the apron, Eulson quickly knocks the former two-time Supreme Champion away from the ropes with a stiff elbow strike. Jerod stumbles away slightly allowing Eulson to scale onto the top rope, but with surprising quickness, Barnez separates "The Golden Child" from his perch with a Yakuza Kick! Falling like a baby bird being pushed out of the nest before they're ready, Eulson splats on the arena floor. Slinking into the frame, Sean Young expeditiously escorts his best friend to his feet, allowing Jacob to attempt shaking the cobwebs loose. The sudden spike in crowd reaction pulls the Genus member's attention together as they look up in time to see "Supreme" Jerod Barnez has flung himself over the top rope. The near three hundred pound frame of Barnez comes crashing down toppling his dynamic tandem opposition with an impressive Tope Suicida. With both of the official members of this contest down on the outside, Official Mandy Baker begins her count. Jerod Barnez shows signs of life first, pulling himself to a knee as he shoots a wink to the camera. The respectful public of the Tokyo Dome applauds the Suicide Dive, but quite a few can be heard booing the snide wink Jerod shot into the camera.
"And the big man takes flight! Sean Young attempted to get his best friend back into the fray, but he just wasn't quick enough."
"Ha! Should've just left your boy alone there, huh Sean? Let the men who have a shot for the Supreme Championship handle picking themselves back up."
"It's admirable to help one's compatriot to their feet in battle, but you have to be aware that marks you and could land yourself in the line of fire much as Sean just learned."
Rising to his feet effectively, Jerod Barnez with a hand full of Eulson's brown curly locks and effortlessly hoists him to his feet before tossing him back into the ring. Cautiously, the Hall of Famer leisurely follows his prey in before grinding the point of his elbow in Jacob's cheek, attempting a pin. Mandy Baker manages to slap the mat for a two-count as "The Forgotten" pulls his shoulder from off the canvas. Not wasting any time to ramp up his attack, Barnez clasps his hand deep down to his opponent's scalp, jerking and pulling with every passing second. "I saw your little promo" Jerod mocks the California native as he pulls him up holding him in one hand by the cranium. Not one for any form of disrespect, Jacob begins to take swings at the slightly larger Barnez, however, he can’t quite reach. Each swing and miss adds fuel to the fire of Jacob's frustration, much to the cocky joy of the former two-time Supreme Champion. The joy quickly fades, however, as suddenly "The Fynal Synner" hooks his hands around the wrist of the Michigander and pulls up, wrapping his legs about the arm of Barnez before rolling backward with a full-body Arm Drag that flips the goliath over. Jerod manages to get to a single knee in time to watch his opposition charge at him. With no time to retaliate, Jerod has no choice but to brace himself for a swift knee to his jaw as Eulson connects with a tooth-clattering Shining Wizard! The shot echoes through the arena, gaining a small pop from the fans as Jerob Barnez is chopped down like a redwood. The valiant lumberjack stands over him for a second before dropping on top of Barnez in a cover! The fans count with the Official and groan as the Hall of Famer kicks out at one and a half. Despite not liking either man, the contest has gotten the fans into it.
"Did this fool really believe a shining wizard would keep Jerod Barnez down? Come on guy!
"Don’t under estimate a knee strike, Matt Steel. Any strike demonstrated by a well versed striker
"She’s not wrong there, Steel. One man from Eulson’s past, Roach Cooper, would surely agree with her.”
Knowing he has to stay on his behemoth of an opponent, Jacob doesn't waste any time laying into Barnez with an array of stomps. Eye twitching in frustration the eclectic Californian decides to end it here and heads up top. With Jerod laying prone in perfect conditions, Jacob envisions his hand being raised in victory as he leaps from the turnbuckle. Aiming to come crashing down on his opponent's chest cavity with his signature Double Foot Stomp, "The Fynal Synner" descends only to quickly have to abort the mission. As Jacob descends Jerod kips up to his feet, forcing the flying psychopath to tuck and roll. Once back to his feet, Eulson alters his game plan by sprinting towards the set of ring ropes across the ring, allowing some space between Jerod and himself. Jerod sees this as his opportunity to end the match for himself, taking charge at the ropes closest to him, wanting to finish Eulson off with a Gore! A repetitive and almost rhythmic "FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!" grows more audible by the second as Sean Young races into the ring and thrusts himself in Jacob and Jerod's intersection. Biting the proverbial bullet for his best friend, Sean Young is taken clear from his feet and sent to the arena floor with a Gore! Untouched by the collision of the mini tank and the sudden appearance of his guardian angel, Eulson takes a moment to realize what Sean just did for him. Not taking too long though as he needs to capitalize on the confusion. Like a man on fire, Jacob does as he does best, takes off for the ring ropes. This time, however, he leaps and springboards himself off of the ceiling of the three ropes. Realizing he needs to get off the mat and focus his attention back on the match, "The Descendant of a God" raises to his feet in time to meet his holy demise. In his descent, "The Forgotten" hooks his arms around the thick neck of Barnez, using his momentum to drive him into the canvas with a brain-splitting Cutter he calls, The Children of Destiny Cutter! Wasting absolutely no time, Jacob flips his opponent to his back before hooking his leg for a pin!
"Progressing to the next round and your winner of this contest via pinfall, Jacob Eulson!"
