The Kagome Family (Kaida Kagome & Joey Miles) vs. Heel Shit Up! (Angelica Vaughn & Sarah Lacklan)

The world of XWA is never short on surprises, but 2019 opened with a heartbreaking one, as Lx-Tim, after winning both the Supreme XWA Championship and a share of the XWA World Tag Team Championships in one night, holding onto both of those prizes for the rest of 2018, main-eventing Legends with the crowd on his side for the first time in years, and ultimately winning the Piledriver Award for Wrestler of the Year, revealed that he would have to vacate both of his championships and step away from the ring to recover from potentially career-threatening injuries. Now, for the first time since the spring of 2017, the XWA World Tag Team Championships will main-event a Supershow, and XWA owner Bella Quinn has hand-picked the teams to face off for it. Angelica Vaughn and Sarah Lackland, the reigning Television and Hardcore Champions, respectively, have already proved they form a powerful duo, while arch-villain Kaida Kagome and social media mastermind Joey Miles come together looking to claim gold in their first match ever as a tag team. And while the other singles titles might not be on the line in this matchup, if either of the champion Cool Kids takes the fall here--assuming they still have those belts by the time fight night rolls around--there will be little doubt as to who their next challenger might be.

Will Vaughn and Lacklan's yin-yang of philosophies come together and make them both double champions? Will the Kagome crime family see its top two representatives walk away as XWA champions for the first time? And where will three of XWA's title scenes be by the end of the night? It's all in play here at the first Supershow main event of 2019!

Headliner:
One on One!

Danny Diamond vs. Blake Archer

Despite only resurfacing fairly late in 2018, Danny Diamond's latest run in XWA has already made a tremendous impact. His acclaimed feud with Sean Young and its climactic Toronto Street Fight at Legends netted them three 2018 Piledriver Awards, as well as near-wins of more trophies, and in recognition of both this fact and Diamond's ultimate victory over Young, Bella Quinn has designated the man formerly known as Mirage the first person to earn a shot at Supremacy for 2019. Diamond will receive his shot in the main event of XWA's China Anniversary, but while we wait for an official #1 contender to emerge in the XWA Top Ten rankings, Diamond will face one of 2018's most consistent contenders for world title glory in Blake Archer. The reigning GWP World Heavyweight Champion famously shot for Supremacy in his XWA debut this time last year, falling short against Emery Layton, before climbing his way up the rankings to earn a second shot at Face Your DEMONS!, this time against Lx-Tim, where Archer won the match, but not the championship, by way of a count-out. And after winning a grueling Last Man Standing match at Legends to retire the infamous Levinator, Archer knows that a win over Diamond could well set him up for shot number three in Shanghai.

Will the Crown Jewel further justify his hand-picked opportunity for glory in our headlining match? Or will the King of Canines hit just the right spot and make that jewel crack?

The Battle of the Bay!

Vespertine vs. A.J. Morales

San Francisco, California has a special place in this sport's history as the birthplace of tag team wrestling. But it's also the city that two of XWA's most outspoken combatants, "The Revolution" A.J. Morales and the vixen veteran Vespertine, call home, and lately, their views have had them both at odds. Morales, in the eyes of many XWA fans, is to the BattleZone what Superman is to Metropolis, and he takes that reputation seriously. So when Vespertine, in the debut edition of her podcast, Vee's View, ran down the entire Legends 2018 card and virtually everyone who competed on it, the former 7-time Hardcore Champion took it upon himself to defend the company's honor and requested to face her at the first opportunity, which he got right here at Brave New World.

A win here would help Morales build off the momentum sustained inside the Hellmouth at Legends, where he exorcised Minka Carter's demons in surprisingly literal fashion, but if Vespertine can pull out the win, it would undoubtedly be her biggest singles victory yet in XWA. Which of these two San Franciscans will walk away with bragging rights?

Opening Match!

Albion Gale vs. Captain Fabulous

Few wrestlers on the XWA roster are as primed for glory to start 2019 than the Duality of Woman, Albion Gale. Already the Breakout Star of 2018 according to this year's Piledriver Awards, Gale has been biding her time, waiting for the right moment to cash in her Lord of the Ring opportunity at the Supreme Championship. And as she bides her time, picking up high-profile wins will be of the utmost importance. But in order to start 2019 on the right foot, she'll need to contend with the returning Captain Fabulous, a man who's no stranger to starting Supershows on a high note.

If the fabulous fighter picks up a victory here, it'll send a message to the entire XWA locker room. But if the Lady of the Ring does it, it'll send an equally strong message to everyone eyeing the top spot. Either way, the first Supershow match of 2019 promises to be a crowd-pleasing affair.
