Sanction: It’s main event time, and you know what that means. It’s TV Title time.

Tempest: The champ has to be steaming after that narrow margin by which she lost at On a Pole.

Sanction: I think she’s probably more upset that she lost on the night that she finally announced her intention to cash in her Ring in her home state. She’s definitely going to want to get her momentum back on track before getting into the ring with Danny Diamond.

Tempest: She’s got a good test ahead of her, though. No matter how hard a time he’s had in XWA since appearing in October, Razor is still one of the greats, and as much as she railed against touting the past, people talk about the past accomplishments of people like Danny Diamond for a reason.

Sanction: I almost wonder if she’s underestimating how dangerous the Prized Gem is.

Tempest: I also wonder that. I also also think that this is a good chance to find out.

The camera cuts to Hana Ramirez standing by in the ring.

Ramirez: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the XWA World Television Championship!

"Revelation" by American Pearl starts playing over the PA system as smoke covers the entrance as it shoots up from both sides of the stage. Razor appears from behind the curtain, trademark trenchcoat billowing behind him. He raises both hands with devil horns raised on each, bringing his hands together above his head before bringing down his hands and showing the rings on his hands that spell out "R X."

Ramirez: Introducing first, the challenger, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 235 pounds, the Queen of Kings...Razor Xtreme!

As he stands on the stage, golden sparks come down from the top of the Jumbotron as multicolored strobes light up the fog billowing around him. He smirks before striding down to the ring with a purpose. He walks over to the steps, walking up them and then through the ropes deliberately before heading to center ring to alternate between shit-talking the fans and preening.

Sanction: Razor looks as confident as ever. He might not feel that working his way up to the Supreme Title is worth it, but he’ll be well on his way with a win over Gale tonight.

Tempest: Hopefully he hasn’t underestimated her, either. She’s conquered larger opponents many times, so he won’t be able to rely on his size.

“Invidia” starts playing over the speakers, and during the slow open, the sounds of distant thunder and wind are piped in as well. There is a louder thunderclap at the drop, and water starts to pelt the stage in a simulated downpour. Albion walks out onto the stage, a black trenchcoat on over her ring gear, and she stands proudly with her arms out in the deluge. After a few seconds, the “rain” stops and she strides down to the ring.

Ramirez: His opponent, from Evansville, Indiana, weighing in at 164 pounds, she is the 2018 Lady of the Ring and the XWA World Television Champion, the Duality of Woman...Albion Gale!

Compared to when her entrance theme started and all the storm sounds, the arena feels positively calm for Albion now. As the song’s tempo increases, Albion’s pace quickens until she is in the ring. At this point she dramatically tears open her trenchcoat, revealing her ring attire and the TV Title underneath. She holds her arms out as though soaking in some sun (or mirroring how she stood in the “storm”) before removing her coat and draping it over the top rope where a stagehand retrieves it and tucks it away next to the timekeeper. She then does some last minute stretches to prepare for the upcoming match.

Sanction: Albion was uncharacteristically outspoken the last couple of shows, but she has been tight-lipped over the past week. I suspect she is trying to maintain focus.

Tempest: I don’t know that I agree with her if that’s the case. She can definitely try to keep focused on her craft, but she seemed pretty focused on it when she called out Alex Kincaid and Danny Diamond. I think she might need to recalibrate a bit since Kaji’s departure.

Sanction: I guess we’re about to find out.

Head official Tommy Tickles is standing between Gale and Razor, having retrieved the TV Title from the champion, and after showing its gleaming faceplate to each competitor, he holds it above his head, turning slowly to show the prize to the fans in attendance. He then carries it over to a stagehand for safekeeping before ensuring the match is ready to start. Gale’s eyes are narrowed slightly, while Razor stands upright with supreme confidence. Tickles decides the match can start and signals for the bell.

The instant the bell rings, Gale charges. Razor is surprised at Gale’s explosive approach, but she only gets a few right hands in before he’s able to cover up and inevitably shove her away. When she tries to charge in again, using speed to her advantage, Razor just catches her with a big boot to the face that sends her staggering back. She plants her feet to stop herself, but Razor comes in and peppers her with rights and lefts that rock her.As soon as she is sufficiently staggered, Razor backs into the ropes, building momentum, and then blasts Gale straight in the face with a Kinshasa knee strike! Gale drops like a bag of potatoes and the crowd gasps as Razor falls into a cover, potentially looking to put Gale away even faster than Jace Albright!

Gale kicks out! She is definitely still loopy, but her instincts got her to pull her shoulder off the canvas in time. Razor just smirks at the fans, which riles them.

Sanction: Razor going for the kill immediately with the Knee of Royalty, and he was able to catch the champ off-guard.

Tempest: She’s going to have to pick up her game. If that were Danny Diamond, that could have been his Sudden Death superkick, and the ballgame would be over.

Razor spins himself into position behind Gale as she tries to pull herself up. He grabs one of her arms and raises it above her head into an arm wrench. Gale grits her teeth and tries to roll toward it and up to her feet, but as soon as she twists herself toward her arm, Razor shoves her back down with his free hand. Gale slaps the canvas in frustration a few times, but she doesn’t have much time to be upset, because soon she feels Razor drop down, and she quickly rolls to her side just as Razor is trying to drop his legs across her to lock in a cross armbar. As a result, his legs wind up pressed against Gale’s shoulders. Her arm is still being wrenched in a bad angle, but despite his best efforts to power her back down, Gale continues pushing forward through gritted teeth and clenched jaw until Razor’s shoulders are down!

Razor is forced to let go of the arm wrench to get his shoulders up, and the instant her arm is free, Gale rolls frantically across the ring, using the force of Razor’s legs shoving against her shoulders to add a little extra speed. She ends up rolling too fast and has to throw her bad arm up to hook it around the bottom rope to keep from sailing out of the ring, which causes her to yelp and wince in pain. Razor definitely noticed, and as he gets to his feet, he stalks over toward Gale, pushing right past the protesting Tickles to grab Gale’s right arm, the one he’s been working, and lifts it as high as it can go while attached to a supine Gale, before slamming it against the mat. He then lifts it up and slams it again against the canvas before Tickles manages to get between him and Gale, shoving somewhat ineffectually against Razor. Razor eventually relents, if only because he can’t win the title on a disqualification, and lets Tickles check on Gale.

Sanction: Albion showing good speed and instincts to avoid that cross armbar, but Razor is already emphatically in control of this contest.

Tempest: You know as well as I do that she can come back from some impossible odds, but only if her head’s screwed on right, and right now I’m not sure it is.

Gale is seen shaking her head, and while the microphones can’t pick up what she’s saying, the look of helplessness and the wide shrug from Tickles says all that needs to be said. He thinks Gale should stop, but she doesn’t want to lose, so she has insisted to keep it going. As he backs away, Razor storms in, intent to show the folly of her decision as he yanks her, by her bad arm, out of the safety of the ropes. He keeps his grip on her arm after he does this, but in seemingly the same motion, Gale cries out and clutches at her shoulder, then folds her body in half as she flips backwards over her neck, her arm twisting in Razor’s clutches before he can drop into the armbar. As she rises to her feet, possibly to twist herself up into a headscissor, Razor cuts her off with a harsh yank on her right arm. Gale cries out in pain again as it stops her in her path. Razor lifts her up onto his shoulders in a fireman’s carry, lifting a little more with that worked right arm than maybe is safe, but as soon as her stomach touches his shoulders, Gale is struggling once again, knowing where she is and how bad things are about to get. Razor growls, then pops her up to drop her into the knee strike, but Gale is able to twist her body in such a way to avoid the strike, and as Razor was maintaining wrist control to pull her down into the knee, Gale uses that against him and pivots her whole body, throwing her feet out and pulling her upper body down, creating enough rotation to pull Razor off his feet in a big time arm drag!

Sanction: Big time reversal! Razor narrowly missed ending it early once more!

Tempest: She avoided the Queen’s Crown, but she’s not safe yet, Mark!

The crowd cheers, but Razor is not dissuaded for long, rolling quickly up to his feet. Gale is slower to get up, but she ducks Razor’s attempt at either a clothesline or slingblade, charging toward the ropes as Razor tries to put on the brakes. He whirls around, but it’s just in time to eat a springboard dropkick from the second rope! He falls back to the canvas, and Gale is getting up as quickly as she can, still favoring her right arm. Razor still gets back to his feet at the same time, but as he comes forward with a punch, Gale lifts both her arms to block the arm as it comes forward. She winces at the jolt to her right shoulder, but she pushes through it, figuratively and literally, pushing the arm back and causing Razor to take a step back. He tries to charge forward again, but Gale is able to use the small amount of distance created to whip herself around in as spinning wheel kick! She catches Razor right in the jaw and he goes down again, but she lands hard on her back, which is normally fine, but it jolts her shoulder again. As a result, she rolls away from Razor where he fell and continues to favor her shoulder.

Sanction: Albion was building a head of steam there, but the damage might already be done on that arm.

Tempest: It doesn’t matter how much momentum she captures if she gets to the end and can’t capitalize.

Razor is rubbing his jaw as he rolls up to his feet, and he beats Gale to a vertical base, as the champ is still pulling herself up with her one good arm in the ropes. He reaches out to grab her right arm, but she immediately launches a wild kick to try and keep him at distance. She does this a few times, but Razor is able to get inside her hasty defense and smack her with a forearm strike to the jaw. She reels against the ropes as Razor grabs her bad right arm, and while it’s a little odd to Irish Whip from that side unless you’re a Southpaw, he pushes through, yanking her off the ropes and throwing her toward the opposite ropes. Gale yelps when yanked, but has no choice but to be whipped. As she barrels back, she tries to launch a clothesline with her good left arm, but Razor catches it, grabbing it and pulling her down in one smooth roll! Gale immediately starts scrambling, and it is only by virtue of the fact that Razor was trying to transition over to her already weakened arm that she had the time to get to the ropes! The crowd cheers, but Razor snarls. She’s sought the refuge of the ropes so many times in their match so far, he had to keep her away from them. He grabbed her by the ankle and yanked her roughly to the middle of the ring. This made cheers turn to boos, but he ignores them as he bends down over his victim, but even as the boos start in earnest, they turn back to cheers as Gale has reached up with her as yet unmolested left arm and pulled Razor down into an inside cradle!

Razor pushes himself off the canvas just before the third count! He rolls quickly up to his feet, staring at Gale as she rolls into a kneeling position. Her right arm still hangs somewhat limp, but she’s the one grinning now as Razor scowls.

Sanction: I mean, Razor being angry isn’t great, but Albion needs to press her advantage while she has it.

Tempest: What advantage? She surprised Razor as he tried to yank her arm off. The TV Champ has a long way to go here.

Razor affects a cocky grin as Gale gets the rest of the way to her feet. He invites her close, as though to go nose-to-nose or do some jaw-jacking, but as soon as she’s within reach, he strikes, poking her right in the eye. The crowd howls with negativity as Gale recoils dramatically. Razor watches with a glint in his eye, squaring up for the kill shot, but as he charges in for another Royal Knee, Gale seems to sense him coming and ducks down, leaving Razor crotched on the top rope! His eyes go wide as Gale scrambles up, and as she’s blinking vision back into her eyes, she sees Razor trying to pull himself off the top rope. She quickly clubs him in the back to stagger him, then pulls him down slightly to grab him for a reverse DDT...except he’s still on the top rope. The crowd starts to murmur as she slowly, painfully pulls him to where his shins are across the top rope. She’s supporting as much of his weight as she can with her left arm, but it’s clear she’s in a lot of pain as she keeps her right arm wrapped tightly around Razor’s head long enough to drop him from the top rope to the canvas in a rope-hung reverse DDT! She scrambles into a cover.

Razor lifts his leg up onto the bottom rope. Maybe he could have kicked out, maybe he couldn’t, but why waste the effort?

Gale clutches her right shoulder as she tries to figure out what to do.

Sanction: Razor seemed real confident right there, but that eye jab might have actually got Gale back in the game?

Tempest: When she couldn’t see, all she had to go on was instinct. Her body knows what it has to do, she has to get her mind out of the way.

Razor is holding the back of his head as Gale, kneeling and favoring her shoulder, looks down at him to try to find answers. She moves to Razor’s head and lifts his head, about to go for her Figure Four Necklock, but Razor pulls his leg back and does something similar to a Pele kick to send her sprawling backwards onto her back. Razor rolls over onto his stomach and smirks as he stands up, reaching for Gale’s legs, presumably to start setting up his Royal Throne submission. As soon as she figures out where she is, she starts flailing wildly, blocking this way and that. She goes for the small package reversal but she already tried that, so Razor just leans back up to avoid it. He takes a moment to look out at the crowd with an arrogant smirk, then when he looks back to Gale, she’s clamped her legs around him and used him like a post to sit up, pulling herself up with just the strength of her core, to blast him in the face with her own forearm. The crowd cheers the athletic display, but Gale is quick to release her body scissor on Razor, her feet landing with a jolt as she instinctively clutches at her arm. Razor goes for that opening, but he is the one regretting going back to the well, because when he half-lifts half-yanks Gale up onto his shoulders for the Queen’s Crown, Gale pushes herself off when he lifts for the strike, going behind Razor. She pulls him down for a school girl pin, but he effortlessly rolls through that attempt to catch him. He is quickly back to his feet, but that was a mistake, because Gale Blazing Kicks Razor right out of his boots. His head turns to one side after he gets hit and he goes to the canvas, and Gale falls into a cover, too hard in fact, as she has to clutch her shoulder instead of hook a leg.

3! The bell rings as “Invidia” plays on the speakers.

Ramirez: Here is your winner and still XWA World Television Champion...Albion Gale!

Sanction: Things looked real bad for Albion there, but she pulled through in the end. Her athleticism continues to delight fans in the Battlezone, but that’s not going to be enough when she faces Danny Diamond in Indianapolis.

Tempest: You better believe it. Some last minute heroics may have got her another show as TV Champ, but she wasn’t able to win the race against Jace Albright, and you know Danny was watching this and will be targeting that same shoulder when the Supreme Title is on the line.
