Wrestling Moves: XWA Primary Finishers

Postby Tempest » Mon Oct 03, 2011 3:16 pm

Many wrestling maneuvers are known throughout the industry by several different names. Professional wrestlers frequently give their "finisher" (signature moves that usually result in a win) new names that reflect their gimmick. The XWA stars are no exception. Below you will find listed the Primary Finisher for each XWA superstar. This doesn't mean that they don't often make use of other devastating moves to end their matches, but when push comes to shove, the moves below are the ones that each of them call their own.

Note: Please make a post for each character with a WRITTEN description of your Primary Finisher, and it will be edited for spelling and such, and added to the list. As the list grows, it will be set in alphabetical order by superstar name, not Finisher name.

And so there's no confusion - While you can have as many Finishing and Signature moves as you want, You may only pick ONE Primary finisher for this list. If your move is basically the same as someone else's on the list, modify it somehow to be at least slightly different, whether it be by adding a taunt, or changing something up. (i.e. Both Undertaker and Kevin Nash have powerbomb finishes, but they are slightly different in execution. Likewise, Tempest uses an RKO like cutter, but generally begins it with a gutkick first.)

XWA Primary Finishers:

Angelus - The Blessing
(Modified Version of a Alabamaslam) After lifting his opponent in the standard way with his head between their legs, Angelus will jump slightly from the floor and drop down to his knees to increase the impact.

Dan Bennett - Ode to Rated X
(Modified Single-Leg Boston Crab) After delivering any maneuver resulting in the opponent on their back and Bennett by their legs, he will grab a hold of the left leg of the opponent, raise it to under his armpit, and pull them over onto their back while stepping over, effectively locking in an elevated half crab. As he sinks the hold in and maintains his balance, he will lower his right knee onto the opponent's neck, applying much more pressure and contorting the neck even more.

Derrick Jedi - The Jedi Mind Trick
An easy enough "out of nowhere" finisher. Derrick will sneak up behind his opponent and jump on their back while applying a standard facelock. He falls back and takes them with; slamming the back of their head into the canvas with a tremendous amount of force.[/i]

Rose - Kiss From a Rose
(Knee Trembler) Rose's opponent is on his knees, or bent over. Rose simply takes a run up and hits them with a brutal knee to the head. No fuss, a lot of mess.

Tempest - The Thunderbolt
(Modified Diamond Cutter) After opening this manuever with a gutkick to his opponent's midsection, Tempest applies a three-quarter facelock (reaching back and grabbing the head of his competition, thus pulling the opponent's jaw above his shoulder) and then darts forward, and then immediately falls backwards to slam his opponent face-first to the mat below.

Diamond Jack Sabbath: The Diamond's Wrath
Jack puts his opponents head facing downwards in between his legs and then pulls them up onto his shoulders in a position akin to a powerbomb. Jack then smashes them back first into the ground with their legs still draped over his shoulder then pulls them back up into the previous position before repeating the process two more times. Basically, it's a triple-powerbomb with a fancy name. Ready to Ride The Wrath people?

T.K.: Extinction

Extinction is a submission that can be locked in at various points in the match depending on either T.K.'s willingness to lock it in, or a mistake from an opponent. He wraps his biceps around the throat, and pushes it upwards, easily starting to block out the oxygen flowing to the head as he's locked in a basic Guillotine Choke. The nasty part of the submission is the second stage, as he drops down with a Guillotine DDT, typically onto a chair or other object after matches, or during hardcore styled match ups. While holding the submission, forcing them to deal with the pain they just endured, while being choked out. This is his favorite hold by far, and it's the one he's finished the most people off with.

Drake Dysfunction: Aftershock (Full nelson face buster)

Probably one of the most devastating moves in the XWA. Drake stands behind the opponent, applying the traditional full nelson submission. The submission must be applied right in order for this move to be successfully hit. Once you are trapped in the hold, Drake sticks his left leg in-front of his opponents right leg in order to trip them. He falls forward with his opponent and the opponent falls face-first into the canvas.

Chris Novak - The 1 more thing
This move is named because its the last move the match will have is it works. Novak simply starts the move by launching his index finger in the air signalling the number 1. He then kicks the victim in the chest, grabs the head and slams it into his own shoulder. Then what follows 1 is 2 and 3.

Joe Delonge - Delongest way down
Joe starts this move normally with a DDT or clothesline before climbing the turnbuckle, he points up to the sky down to the downed opponent. He says what comes up...... Before flying into a shooting star press, landing on the victim with the line ......must come down.

Kimi Novak - bitchin satisfaction
Kimi starts this move by blowing a kiss to her victim. The then runs to the closest ring rope to her opponent and bounces off it applying the headlock on the way down.

Blake Jones

-The Equalizer (Shooting Star Press)

One of the most high flying moves in XWA. This move is usually followed after Blake hits his opponent with a superkick, laying him out on the mat. Blake quickly goes to the nearest turnbuckle and climbs it. He then jumps off flipping around in the air and once hit, the opponent is down for the count.

-The Jones Equation (Springboard Double Knee Facebreaker)

An out of nowhere move. Blake will pull this out if necessary. Usually, the move is executed after either a missed clothesline by opponent, a pele kick, or a high knee. This move, when executed perfectly, cam keep a person out for a long time.
