Re: XWA and the City of the Island Hills MAIN EVENT: Jessica Tendonin vs. Emery Layton - SUPREME XWA TITLE!

Postby DJS » Sat Mar 03, 2018 8:26 pm

Chile has seen some huge battles tonight. Dan Bennett’s return against Lx-Tim. A.J. Morales and The Lynx fighting for the Hardcore title. But now, there’s one match left. The main event is here, and the City of the Island Hills are ready, roaring with approval.

"Party Monster” by The Weeknd plays through the arena audio system, and the fans go absolutely insane. As the beat kicks, the debuting Jessica Tendonin walks out onto the stage with her SCW World Heavyweight Championship title around her waist to thunderous applause. She stands there for a moment, raising both arms above her head. After allowing the moment to pass, Jessica begins walking down the ramp, slowly lowering her arms.

MARK SANCTION:
It's official ladies and gentlemen. If you're not excited right now, go see a doctor- this is huge! Jessica Tendonin is HERE, making her XWA debut as she challenges for the Supreme XWA Championship!

MATT STEEL:
On her first night, though? What on earth is Emery doing?

MARK SANCTION:
Well Jess threw out the challenge last month and Emery decided to make it more interesting by putting her title on the line- Jess never asked for that. But, with that said, that woman you’re looking at right there is an 18-time World Champion. She knows what she’s in for tonight…

Basking in the cheers, Jessica smiles as she climbs into the ring. After pouncing onto the nearest turnbuckle, Jess unhooks her SCW World Heavyweight Championship belt from her waist and holds it in the air for all to see.

MATT STEEL:
Look at that. That’s what a REAL female world champion looks like...SCW Super Crown and Ultra Crown winner, she's a Hall of Famer three times over AND she's already held a Supreme Championship for UHW.

MARK SANCTION:
And she's a family woman as well as somewhat of a folk hero back home in Shaker Weights! She's a duchess, too!

MATT STEEL:
Damn right! And probably rich! And who knows- if I say nice things, maybe she'll see how charming I am and give me a shot!

MARK SANCTION:
I wouldn't count on it.

Jessica jumps down from the second rope, stretching in the corner as she waits for her opponent. And right on cue…

As "Running Up That Hill" by The Feud hits the PA system and light explodes to life, the excitement hits the air. The Worst of the Pavees herself- wearing her leather jacket and beanie over her gear and her and the Supreme XWA Championship around her waist- emerges from behind the curtain, clearly impressed with the amount of people who have turned out. She's nodding her head, holding her arms out as she struts down the ramp and swaying her head to the beat of her entrance theme, her eyes closed. She's lost in the moment, there's nowhere else she'd rather be right now.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton recently reached a whopping 365 Days as Union Battleground Trench War Champion. It’s a way to go yet, but you have to think the Lethal Lackeen will want to repeat a similar feat with the Supreme XWA Championship, and with one successful title defense already under her belt, she could be on the way to doing so.

MATT STEEL:
But she may have jeopardised that tonight. Em has held the Supreme XWA title since November. This is her second defense. She’s won that title once, and that’s cool, but she’s in there with someone who’s done what she has eighteen times now.

MARK SANCTION:
First Blake Archer, now Jessica Tendonin- this is the second time a challenger for the Supreme XWA Championship has the chance to walk away as a double world champion.

MATT STEEL:
Is this a statement being made by Emery, though? Trying to prove she’s the best world champion by beating others? Reeks of insecurity to me...

Once she reaches the bottom of the ramp, she unclips her title from around her waist- holding it one hand as she pulls her beanie off and thrusts it into her pocket with the other, skating up the steel steps and climbing the turnbuckle. As the fans cheer, Em lifts the Supreme XWA Championship up for all to see. Ooh, she's chuffed to even hold it in her hands. Once the eccentric Irish traveller has spent enough time up there, Emery leaps down from the top rope and into the ring, transitioning from that into probably the most graceful, crisp forward-roll you've ever seen. Now in the ring, Emery runs to the rope right behind her bouncing off it as she drops to her knees and skids forwards, as all the lights drop except a single spotlight on her and the lights from cell phone cameras as her upperbody falls backwards and she hoists the Supreme XWA Championship up into the air with both arms right up. After a few moments of just simply listening to the cheers, she flips onto her front and crawls into her corner, removing her jacket and dumping the battered old thing to the outside as she sits down, legs flat out with the title now draped over her knees, waiting for the match to begin. It's at this point Hana Ramierez steps forward and The Feud fades out.

The bell rings to signal everyone’s attention. The scene is quite smilar to last month, as Emery pulls herself to her feet with her title now slung over her shoulder while Jess stands in the opposite corner, also with her title on her shoulder. The two size each other up as Hana raises her mic.

HANA RAMIEREZ:
The following contest, set for one fall, is for the Supreme XWA Championship!

Cheers! It’s main event time and everyone is excited!

HANA RAMIEREZ:
Introducing first, the challenger- from Shaker Heights, Ohio, weighing 194lbs, she is the SCW World Heavyweight Champion, “The Paraguayan Sensation”...Jessica! Tendonin!

Cheers for the popular debutee. She clearly has her fans in Santiago, and it shows. Em nods and claps with a grin. This may come off as disingenuous to some, but she’s genuinely impressed by her competition tonight. Jess backs up into the corner once again as Hana raises the mic.

HANA RAMIEREZ:
And her opponent- from Anywhere and Everywhere, weighing WEIGHT, she is the Reiging and Defending Supreme XWA Champion of the World...the Worst of the Pavees, Emery! Layton!

And the Lethal Lackeen raises her title in the air, stepping forward into the middle of the ring...but then Jessica Tendonin steps forward herself, mirroring Emery and holding her SCW World Heavyweight Championship up in the air, too. Em smirks. They are nose to nose. Well, almost. As she looks up at the 6'2 Amazonian-like frame of Jessica Tendonin, she gets it. Jess nods.

MATT STEEL:
Oooohhhhh boy...

MARK SANCTION:
Jessica Tendonin making one last statement before we start this match- Em can win titles, but Jess can do it too.

Referee Jack J. Tickles separates both competitors, pushing them back to their corners. Taking the Supreme XWA title from Emery's hands, he raises it in the air for all to see. This is the title they're competing for, this is the one it's all about tonight. Finally, handing it off to someone outside the ring, Em and Jess size each other up one last time in their corners. Tickles checks with everyone outside the ring, he makes sure both competitors are in their corners and prepared and then, finally, he gives that nod to the timekeeper...

DING DING!

And we're off. Neither competitor moves for the first few seconds of this match. Being well-known popular stars, the world knows both Emery and Jessica already, enough for them to have favorites. In those first few moments, Santiago pick their sides and very gradually make it apparent who's side they're on.

"EM-ERY LAY-TON!"
"TEN-DON-DIN!"
"EM-ERY LAY-TON!"
"TEN-DON-DIN!"

Em sways her head to the rhythm of the chants while Jessica just looks out, goosebumps running up and down her arm. In the first few rows, Jess spies a familiar face- one Paige Lewis, in fact. She heard she'd be here. Soon, she will be in the same position that Emery is in here, but defending her SCW World title against Paige. She's sure to give her a few moments of attention, just to let her know she can see her before she basks in the voices of Santiago.

MARK SANCTION:
Ladies and gentlemen, the atmosphere in this building right now is indescribable. These two are among the best wrestlers in the world and they are mixing it up right now in an XWA ring. These fans don't know who to cheer more!

A rush of excitement runs through the air as both Em and Jess feel themselves propelled out of the corners, keeping their eyes on one another.

MARK SANCTION:
Here we go, ladies and gentlemen. And by the way, interesting tid-bit for you here- did you know that this is actually the first time in this promotions' history that we've ever had two female wrestlers competing for a world title in the main event?

MATT STEEL:
We're a long way away from DGX and Rose...

MARK SANCTION:
But not inferior by any means. Think about it- this is a woman who once protested a company for discontinuing intergender matches because of what it'd mean for her career opportunities facing off against a younger girl who was told she'd never make it because of her background as a Traveller and defied all expectations in matches with men much, much bigger and stronger than her. It's a brave new era and it's stuff like THIS which makes it all the better. We're about to see history made!

While Jess is taller by a significant amount than Em (though that isn't very difficult), she's still not as heavy as Blake Archer was and she's closer to the ground than he was. That means when she steps forward, her guard up, Jess comes into the centre of the ring too with hers up. They're about to go in for it, Jess has eyes on the Supreme XWA Champion...until Emery slips under her arm, throwing her arms in the air and turning her walk into a big strut!

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton being, well...Emery Layton to start this match off here. I mean, confidence is great and all but she's in there with someone like Jessica Tendonin, this might not be the best idea...

MATT STEEL:
A TERRIBLE idea, Mark!

Jessica bites her lip and places a hand on her hip, looking down. She looks back up and Emery's playful grin is the first thing she sees. Shrugging, the Worst of the Pavees tells her straight "its what I do". Jess curls her lip. Alright, fine. It's Em's house. Fair enough. But she didn't come to the XWA to be messed around, even if it is what Emery's known for. Jessica came to the XWA to win. She said she'd give this match all she had and by lord she's gonna do it. Raising her arm up, she guards herself now as she begins to circle the ring and Em follows suit, not wanting Jess to get behind her. Em pops into the ring to start a false tie-up but then pops right back, and Jess just isn't taken by it at all. She's not gonna play her games here. Finally, the two burst into the middle of the ring and lock-up. Pushing back and forth, lobbying for some sort of upper-hand, the two of them battle it out, finding their footing and engaging in a tenacious stalemate.

After some push-and-shove action, Jess manages to get the upperhand, swiping Em's left hand away and putting her forearm across Em's shoulder, backing her up into the corner with four very large steps. Tickles trots up behind them, his head popping up over Jessica's shoulder like a little puppet. He counts her down with a target on a five count, but the Dragon raises her hands in the air as she backs up. She has no contact with the champion and makes sure that the referee, and everyone, can see it.

MATT STEEL:
Now this is more like it! Jessica not dealing with Emery's bullshit, as rightfully she shouldn't.

Em comes out of the corner, head down briefly. This proves to be her downfall in this moment, as Jess grasps her wrist with both hands and takes two steps back, extending one arm and pushing Emery into the ropes with the other. As Emery legs it, Jess pivots her body, ready in time for the Lethal Lackeen's return. Jess bounces up into the air, almost touching her toes as Emery ducks under the challengers' legs, avoiding any sort of collision and continuing to bounce into the opposite ropes. Jess turns on one foot and drops onto her front. There is a rumble in the crowd. In an Emery Layton match, we've been here many, many times before...

MARK SANCTION:
I see where this is going...

MATT STEEL:
Oh, she's gonna do the "drop down next to you" thing, isn't she? Doesn't she get who she's in there with yet? Why doesn't she ge--

Except she doesn't.

Instead, Emery actually steps over Jess normally but then kicks her legs up into the air, placing one hand on the ground and using it to carry herself over with a cartwheel so pitch perfect you can almost see Anna Kendrick in it. Using the momentum from this, she continues to run along, once again bouncing off the ropes.

MARK SANCTION:
Apparently not- what's this?

MATT STEEL:
Em's STILL running!

Jessica squats to her feet. All she knows is Em's still running and all she needs to do now is wait for her opening to hit her with a clothesline. However, knowing she doesn't have a lot of time, Emery is absolutely darting across that ring. As Jess finally stands upright, Em turns her entire body until she is flying back-first at Jess and does something that can be best described as 'punches her in the face with her arse'. The Dragon drops to the mat, holding the side of her face as Em drops onto her feet and quickly turns around.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton hits Cloudbusting and #BootyStrongStyle is out in FULL SWING!

MATT STEEL:
Is that a real hashtag? That's so lame.

MARK SANCTION:
But after a bit of a wobble to start, Emery finally finds her feet in this match.

Jessica finds herself being pulled to her feet now, at either side of her head, leading her to a standing position. The Lethal Lackeen's got her on her feet, but the Heart Breaker from the Heights of Shaker knocks away Emery's grip. Dissatisfied with this, the Worst of the Pavees attempts to get that grip back, but is immediately stopped when Jess knees her right in the mid-section. Doubling over, Em is temporarily powerless to stop as Jess grabs her wrist and spins under, wrenching that lock on. Her entire arm's being twisted and contorted as Jessica continues to twist the wrist more and more, wrenching and wrenching away. With her arm out-stretched, the Rubberband Girl knows she has to bounce back. With Jess keeping the lock on, Emery rolls forward on her right shoulder. Once she rises to her feet again, with her free hand, she grabs the wrist of Jessica Tendonin and spins herself under the Dragon's arm, managing to pull her other arm out of the hold and push her up into a hammerlock. Jess feels her forearm being pushed further and further up her back. She's been in this situation enough times to know that she has to get out of it quickly AND knows exactly how to do it. The challenger spins her entire body around, allowing Em to keep her grip on her while she pulls away from the Champion and applies a waistlock from behind.

MATT STEEL:
Emery in a precarious position here, Jessica is a woman who can suplex you into oblivion, and I hope the champ knows what oblivion looks like 'cause she may be going just there.

But the Champion has no intention of visiting this place just yet, if ever. Emery struggles, trying to break that waistlock, eventually managing to put her hand between Jessica's forearm and her own mid-section before pushing forward and breaking the hold. But now Emery, not one to resist nicking a good idea, circles Jessica in a similar fashion and locks in her own waistlock!

MARK SANCTION:
And now Jessica in the same position as Em turns the tables. These two are trying to out-technique each other here and it's just incredible to watch!

Not wanting to waste the moment, Em rushes Jess forwards. She's got a plan here- if she can bounce Jessica's chest off the ropes, when she falls back and rolls through, it'll be with much more force than if she were to just do it in the middle of the ring and it'll have more speed and momentum behind it! Genius, she thinks. Except what isn't genius is what happens. Em keeps the grip and rolls back, but Jessica hooks the top rope and clings to it for dear life. Emery rolls back alone as Jessica stays stood at the ropes. The High Priestess of Alcatelia unhooks from the ropes and turns in time to see Em, realising her mistake, leg it across the ring. Moving to the side, she places her hand on the back of Emery's head and pushes her forwards. Em hits the ropes chest-first, letting out a huge breath as she's bounced back. Now catching Emery once again in that waistlock position, Jess has the power in the palm of her hand. Springing up ever so slightly, the challenger lifts Em over her head and throws her backwards, keeping the grip around her midsection. Em lands on her upper-back, her feet up in the air as Jessica bridges on her very tip-toes.

MARK SANCTION:
HELL of a German suplex from Jessica Tendonin! Do you believe the hype yet?!

MATT STEEL:
But she's not let go! Emery's getting pinned here!

Tickles, recognising Emery's shoulders are now on the mat, slides onto the ground and begins the count!

ONE!

TWO!!

TH--
But Emery powers out, breaking the grip and kicking her legs up into the air.

MATT STEEL:
Dangerously close, there.

MARK SANCTION:
This match has been competitive to the max, both women feeling they have so much to prove- Jessica Tendonin is trying to prove she can hang with main event calibre talent in the XWA and Emery Layton is trying to prove she can be just as good if not better than someone who's been world champion so many times you can't even use two hands to count it.

MATT STEEL:
But whether they can follow up is an entirely different story...

Emery rises to her feet slowly, even a little cautiously. Jess has already rolled onto her feet and turned. She's ready for the Supreme XWA Champion. The Lethal Lackeen hasn't been on her feet more than five seconds before Jessica is right back on her. Snatching her wrist, Jessica extends her arm once again and pushes the Lethal Lackeen towards the corner but this time the Worst of the Pavees is ready for it. When Jessica is literally at arm's length Em uses the momentum to pull Jessica forwards, switching as she throws her into the turnbuckle back-first! Jessica stays right there, and Em sees her moment, staring back at her. Her fingers, her palms, everything tingles as she moves into the opposite corner. Half of Chile are behind her, the other half begging and pleading with Jess to get the hell out of the way.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton is feeling it now and Jessica Tendonin may be in trouble- I think she's going for The Kicks Inside!

After a few seconds, Emery Layton runs like a bull across the ring. Jessica Tendonin looks up, and by that point it's too late. Heading straight for her are the bottoms of two natty-looking wrestling boots that know nothing else other than how to kick people in faces- and Jessica's face is about to join that list. With a big bang, the Paraguayan Sensation eats boot. Jess doesn't move out of the corner. Emery rolls backwards, up to her feet again, as she runs back into the opposite corner, and as you'd expect, she comes back with a second big dropkick in the corner. Jess stays in place. This sucks and she knows it sucks. She has to get out of it...but how? Em's like a jumping bean and she knows it. But Jessica Tendonin is no slouch either. She's quick on her feet- one of the quickest, in fact. Time show the XWA World. Emery pelts across the mat like a woman possessed. She's hit two dropkicks already and third time's a charm, right? But as she reaches Jessica--

*WHAM!*

Jessica shuffles forward and nails Emery right in the jaw with a hard, well-timed boot to the face, knocking the defending champion down instantly. It's like she's been hit with a cannon ball. Everyone hears the hit. Everyone winces.

MATT STEEL:
Ho. Ly. Shit.

MARK SANCTION:
That was one HELL of a superkick! The speed displayed by the challenger there, just...insane.

Emery rolls onto her side, but due to how close she is to the ropes after Jess came out the corner, she actually ends up rolling under the bottom rope and falling to the outside. Tickles pops his head out through the ropes, imploring Emery to respond to him and indicate in some way if she's fine. She responds with a grumble, a groan and a long 'ooooowwwww' as she holds her jaw. Tickles begins the count and the XWA World watches on as Emery crawls slowly towards the apron, her legs wobbling side to side as she tries desperately to pull herself up. Meanwhile, Jessica Tendonin has gone out onto the apron, watching and waiting for Emery to get into the right position. She's got big plans as Tickles continues the count at "Three" now, and the Dragon begins to climb the turnbuckles.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery goes to the outside and Jessica has something up her sleeve here...

MATT STEEL:
Lets hope it's something good- this could go badly for everyone involved!

Once she reaches the top rope, Jessica stands perfectly still- her back to Emery. Closing her eyes for a few seconds, she feels it. It's not for long, just long enough to soak in the air of the moment. Emery finally brings herself to her feet properly and Jess falls backwards, kicking her legs up in the air and rotating her entire body. The flashes of cameras and the sound of total awe from the fans accompanies an impeccable moonsault, as Jess lands directly on Em and stops her from getting back to her feet. The two of them crash to the ground!

MARK SANCTION:
OH MY GOD!

MATT STEEL:
Why did she do that?!

MARK SANCTION:
A moonsault to the outside but...I just...I can't believe the carnage we're seeing!

MATT STEEL:
That's what 'not thinking before doing' looks like! Y'know what? I liked her earlier but I've changed my mind. Completely reckless. Hope they both get counted out.

Yes, Tickles continues to count. He's up to "Six" by this point, and he's being very, very generous with his pauses. He peaks out at both women, who lie almost motionless on the ground, aside from a few twitches here and there. He gives them both a quick warning to get back in the ring before continuing the count. Jessica Tendonin is stirring, using the ringskirt to pull herself back up. Emery, on the other hand, has flopped onto her front. She's trying. God, she's trying. Her jaw and her head hurt like hell, but she has to keep going. She's got a title to keep.

MARK SANCTION:
They're getting a bit close here...

MATT STEEL:
This is what happens. All Jessica had to do was leave Emery outside the ring and just sit there, looking pretty. Instead, here they BOTH are in that situation.

MARK SANCTION:
Oh come on, you can't know Emery would've stayed down so easy. You've seen her in the ring, you know what she's like!

They're both groggy. They're both against it, trying to get up quickly but as safely as they can. Their brains feel like mush already. But even with brains like mush, something in there completely neglects that once they hear a word. Well, a number. But bizarrely, it's only the second worst number a wrestler can hear if they're on the outside of the ring.

"NINE!"

It's a double-edged sword of a number, that. On the one hand, you've got very little time and you've got to gather yourself together in a short window in spite of the fact you might be falling to bits. On the other hand, that's one last second. Sometimes all you need to push you is one second of hope, of leverage, and for people like Emery and Jessica...it's Golden. And once they hear it, they go looking for that gold almost immediately. It's like a Pavlovian response, they immediately get much, much faster with a jolt. Emery, after crawling around the corner, slides under the bottom rope on one side of the ring and Jessica on another.

MARK SANCTION:
They're back in. They beat the count. What a relief!

MATT STEEL:
But now it's about survival! It's about who can get one over on the other. The competitiveness of this match has gone nowhere, it's only escalating.

Em looks up, noticing Jessica. Using the ropes to pull herself back up, Em actually manages to reach her feet before Jessica does. Staggering forwards, the Lethal Lackeen wastes absolutely no time whatsoever. Jess hasn't the time to prepare as she feels a foot on her chest and then, finally, a massive smack on the back of her head with the other foot.

MARK SANCTION:
Enziguri! A flash enziguri takes Jessica Tendonin down!

The fans are cheering but Em doesn't taunt or tease Jessica or play to the fans. She can't afford to piss around here. If she's learned anything so far, it's that Jess has to be taken a lot more seriously than she has been doing so far. She knows what she's doing. She's giving it everything she has. Emery cannot afford to make mistakes. Jessica isn't finished by any stretch of the imagination, as she slowly begins to crawl into the middle of the ring. Emery, meanwhile, feels her eyes gravitate towards the ropes. Now staggering forward like something from the Night Of The Living Dead, Emery groggily pulls herself out onto the apron, trying very hard not to fall off. She's taken kicks, smacks and moonsaults so far...God knows what else is coming, but that's not reason to stop.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery to the outside here, trying to get some semblance of control here...

MATT STEEL:
I dunno what she's planning but this match has already taken it's toll on both competitors and we just saw what a big, flashy move can do- they were nearly BOTH counted out!

The Dragon rises slowly to her feet, holding the back of her head. Everything's white noise and her eyes are heavier and her brain is throbbing. She begins to turn around, taking her time. She can't see Emery but assumes she's probably off in a corner somewhere, which wouldn't be a bad assumption to make, normally. But instead, for some reason, a voice in Em's head said 'no. No corners. Get on the apron.' That same voice is now saying something else as she stands on the apron. Watching. Waiting.

That voice says...Now.

Like the Pavee Superhero she is, Emery pulls herself up onto the top rope and uses it to springboard through the air, right towards Jessica Tendonin. Wrapping her legs around the challengers' head, the Lethal Lackeen falls backwards, going through Jess' legs until dragging Jess down onto the ground, back-first. From here she hooks her leg under her arm, keeping both of her feet at either side of Jessica's head.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton looking to Pull Out The Pin here!

Tickles drops to the mat-

ONE!

TWO!!

THR--
But it's not enough!

MATT STEEL:
That was really close...

MARK SANCTION:
The parallels in this match have been uncanny so far. They're matching each other's styles almost perfectly.

MATT STEEL:
And that's dangerous. You gotta switch it up or else the other person is gonna be able to tell what your every move is. You don't want THEM knowing how similar you are. You can't fight flashy with flashy forever.

Jess kicks her leg up like she's kicking someone really hard that we can't see and throws a shoulder up. Em is forced to release the pin as there's no fall. Jess drops onto her side while Emery scuttles away. She's got a plan in her head as she looks behind her to see Jess pulling herself up to her feet. The groggy challenger is not paying attention to Emery at this point. Not paying attention as Emery's head rolls, looking to the corner. To the top rope. This might be her only chance here.

MARK SANCTION:
Oh, wait...I think Emery's looking to put this away. This might be the perfect time to do it.

MATT STEEL:
She's gonna have to be damn quick. Tendonin's had an answer for everything so far here tonight. If Em's going for the Prikasa, this could end up being a big, big misstep.

The Lethal Lackeen lurches to the corner, going out onto the apron as she climbs the turnbuckles, rung by rung. Jessica finally reaches her feet, but unlike last time she knows for definite something's up. And yes, this time she's right- Em IS in the corner...just not on the floor. She's done her research and knows exactly what's about to come, but she will have to turn around. If she really wants to stop Em, she needs to get her down off the turnbuckle. She's got a gut feeling- one that's served her well all these years, and it's screaming at her right now. Turn around.

Emery has that same feeling in the pit of her stomach. She needs to take that leap of faith. Take flight, and do it now. Jump.

Jessica's head, still, Turn Around.

Emery's head, still, Jump.

Turn.

Jump.

MARK SANCTION:
Em's gonna...

MATT STEEL:
Jessica's gonna...

*BANG!*

Emery drops down off the turnbuckle, but not by choice.

MARK SANCTION:
JESUS CHRIST!

MATT STEEL:
She stopped it!

Jess Turned.

And not only did she turn, she also swiped under Em's ankles, knocking her off the top rope completely and in very unorthodox fashion as Emery's head appears to bounce off the top turnbuckle. Pulling Emery back to her feet by hooking under her arms, Santiago's Tendonin Camp clan cheer with resounding approval. She leaves a few seconds pause, only so she can drag Em into the middle of the ring. Last month, Em managed to avoid losing because of a lucky ropebreak. Jess saw that. Emery, as much as she respects her, won't be allowed to be that lucky here. Hooking Em's arm around her neck, Jess holds both of Emery's hips, using the momentum to push the Lethal Lackeen up into the air, throwing her over her shoulder and onto her back while the Dragon bridges and falls back on her tip-toes, hooking Emery's leg in mid-air to keep the grip.

MARK SANCTION:
Northern Lights Suplex!

MATT STEEL:
Oh. Oh man. Oh Man! And she's got a cover on as well!

Jessica rolls Emery over in haste and hooks the leg.

MARK SANCTION:
I DON'T BELIEVE IT!

ONE!

MATT STEEL:
No way...!

TWO!!

MATT STEEL:
NINETEEN TIMES! NINETEEN TI--

THRE--

But Emery kicks out, by the skin of her teeth.

Santiago's Emery Camp clan erupt in cheers as the Lethal Lackeen refuses to go down, but everyone else is in a state of shock. Jessica looks to Tickles to confirm but yes, it was definitely only two. Jess is just as surprised as nearly everyone else.

MARK SANCTION:
I...she...

MATT STEEL:
I was SURE that was it! She HAD her! She absolutely should've had her there!

Both competitors are holding their bodies. Their beaten, battered bodies like lumps of meat floating to standing positions. Em's nose is busted open following her fall. Putting her fingers to her nose, she observes the blood, slightly mermerised by it for a few seconds. Looking up to reveal the delightful shade of crimson gushing from her nose, everyone in attendance watches on as she staggers to the middle of the ring and the chants begin again.

"EM-ERY LAY-TON!"
"TEN-DON-DIN!"
"EM-ERY LAY-TON!"
"TEN-DON-DIN!"

MARK SANCTION:
Santiago is a city divided right now, half of them behind Jessica Tendonin and the other half behind Emery Layton.

MATT STEEL:
Look at Emery's nose, though! That is a sign of punishment if ever I saw one.

As Jessica stands, Emery grabs the back of her head and pulls her forward, throwing her forearm forwards and clocking her square in the mouth.

Team Emery? "YYAAAAYYY!"
Team Jess? "BOOOO!!"

Jess feels the knock-back from the hit, almost losing her footing until a well-placed left foot allows her to stay in one place. She's not gonna let people down- this is her first match and she wants to make an impression, go home with the Supreme XWA title. After a few seconds, Jessica retaliates with an uppercut!

Team Jess? "YYAAAAYYY!"
Team Emery? "BOOOO!!"

Emery holds her jaw, still hurting from the superkick earlier. But the Lethal Lackeen can't let past injury keep her down. She can throw uppercuts too, and she does, trying to hit Jess harder, in fact.

"YYAAAAYYY!"/"BOOOO!!"

Jess returns the favor with another uppercut.

"YYAAAAYYY!"/"BOOOO!!"

Em fires back with her own.

"YYAAAAYYY!"/"BOOOO!!"

...And another from Emery!

"YYAAAAYYY!"/"BOOOO!!"

With her hand on the back of Jessica's head, Emery pulls her forearm back and nails Jess hard with a big smash to the mouth. The challenger drops to her knees. Emery wipes the blood from around her nose and balls her hands into fists, eyes wide as she feels the passion from Santiago.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton is FEELING it!

MATT STEEL:
That was an exchange between two competitors who have such pride and such a need to prove themselves as the best in the entire promotion. This match just escalates and escalates.

With Jessica on her knees, Em turns to the ropes and runs. Using the spring from the ropes to bounce off with force, the Lethal Lackeen comes running back with a fury as she lifts her knee up and falls backwards, socking Jessica with a hard knee to the face.

MARK SANCTION:
Shining Wizard, and now the Supreme XWA Champion is in control.

MATT STEEL:
With bleeding face and all.

MARK SANCTION:
I think if anything, that only motivated her more. She's got a title to defend and the world is watching!

And she isn't done there either, with Jessica on the ground, Emery pulls herself up to her feet. Holding her jaw, her head and her nose for a few seconds, every injury so far pops back in for a quick 'still here, hello' before subduing again. She has to move past it. She knows she does. With her back to Jessica Tendonin, Emery Layton leaps up into the air on that very spot, rotating her body backwards in the air with a flip before rotating one more time so that when she comes back down, her back collides with the mid-section of Jessica. After the 'oooohhh's and roars of the crowd, Emery rolls into her front and hooks Jessica's leg, making an attempt.

MARK SANCTION:
Standing Moonsault Senton - classic Emery Layton there, as she now hooks for the cover. Can she do this?

Tickles counts-

ONE!

TWO!!

And a half, as Jess gets her shoulder up right after the two.

MARK SANCTION:
Almost had her, there...

MATT STEEL:
That was a loooooong two count, right there. Though it has to be said, I think Emery has finally realised just who Jess is. She's not to be messed around with. Jessica Tendonin's tenacity is well-documented, and fooling around will not get you anywhere with her.

Em sits up as Jessica rolls onto her side. The Supreme XWA Champion turns onto her knee and propels herself up to her feet. She's almost feral now as she watches Jessica struggle to find her balance again. She has to keep on her, and she knows this. The Lethal Lackeen backs up slowly into the corner as Jessica gradually returns to life. With both hands around ropes at either side of her, Em stalks the High Priestess of Alcatelia. Camp Emery begin their slow rumble of cheers.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton STILL not letting up here and listen to these fans. They know what's coming. They hear it. They smell it. And if Jessica Tendonin's not careful, she's gonna Eat it...

MATT STEEL:
She's giving Tendonin time to recover though. She should be on her at all times, but instead here she is, stood in the corner. Stalking is all well and good if your opponent isn't another World Champion who's got a chance at taking away yours...

Jessica stumbles to her feet before finally staying still, sticking to one spot like her feet have been nailed to the mat. A few seconds later and she turns. As she does, Emery spurts forward out of the corner. Jumping up into the air, she leads with her knee, aiming towards Jessica's head. However, the SCW World Heavyweight Champion is most certainly not unprepared for this. The passion in Emery's steps, the determination in her run- it's all very well and good. But when you're in the ring, it's also quite noisy. Those stomps are a million times louder to them than they are to you or I, and Jess uses it. It should take only four steps for Emery to get to her. After step three, Jess turns to see Emery coming at her. Her back's about to hit the ground. The Paraguayan Sensation, fast like a cat, weaves to the left, hooking Emery's ankle as she drops to the ground.

MATT STEEL:
She CAUGHT HER LEG! She caught her again! Jessica Tendonin is on the BALL tonight...

Now with Emery in her grasp, she pulls her into the middle of the ring as she grabs the other leg and guides her foot in between them, landing at Em's side. After crossing Em's legs over, she hooks them under her arm and turns her over, squatting down to put the pressure on.

MARK SANCTION:
Jessica Tendonin snaps on a sharpshooter!

MATT STEEL:
And 'snap' is exactly what might happen if Em can't get out of this!

Jessica cranks the Sharpshooter on, pulling back. Emery's managed to scurry out of so many things so far but now she has the Lethal Lackeen exactly where she wants her. She's in her command. Emery screams in pain as Jack J. Tickles hassles away- does she give in? Does she give? Is she gonna give up? Does she submit? Literally every variation upon, Jack lays on her, but each time Em either shakes her head or defiantly says 'No' or just plain ignores him. Or worse...she's too busy screaming for her life. Meanwhile Jess just continues to apply as much pressure as she can.

MARK SANCTION:
My goodness, she is just going to town on that sharpshooter. Emery's screams are like something straight out of a slasher film.

MATT STEEL:
Hey, Jessica Tendonin didn't come to play nice. While she may respect Emery, she doesn't respect anyone in the world enough to just simply let them win, especially if she herself challenged them. You heard her last month- she came to the XWA to face the best competitors in the world. She wants to prove right here that she can hang, and the absolute top way she could do that? Making the top champion in the company tap out.

It's moments like this where Emery considers things- could she live with herself if she tapped out? Right here and now? She's done it before. If she just tapped now, it'd all be over and she could go home. All it would cost her is a loss and the Supreme XWA Championship. And, yeah, people might look at her differently afterwards but, hey, other wrestlers lose all the time, right?

Other wrestlers are NOT Emery Layton.

The Worst of the Pavees balls both hands into fists as she fights through it, fights through the pain. Placing one forearm on the ground and then another on the ground in front of it, she uses this to try so hard to crawl forward. Reaching out in front of her, she can see the rope. She can hear it calling, offering the hand of friendship to her. If only she can get there, though.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery trying desperately to reach a rope here, looks like.

MATT STEEL:
She's gonna have to be quick, though. I think Jessica wants to snap those legs off her body right now.

And still, whether it's making a big difference or not, Emery continues to draw herself towards the rope, chipping away, using even the smallest creases in the mat to help. Jess is being pulled backwards by the force, and it only serves Em even better as she pushes through. She feels it getting closer to her. She reaches out, but feels nothing. She's not quite there just yet. Now, placing her hands on the mat, she feels her back stretching, but still, she has to press on.

Just one last push. That's all she needs.

Pushing up, she's face to face with the rope. Emery concentrates. She feels it run through her body, that desire to keep going, the insatiable desire she has to never give up. It's exactly what she needs. Bending her arms, she springs up off the ground and reaches forward. She puts her hand out for the rope...

She grabs it!

Tickles sees the rope-break and implores with Jessica to break the sharpshooter.

MARK SANCTION:
And there we go, Emery manages to get a ropebreak, finally.

Jess, having released Emery from the hold, turns around and hooks the champion's head with both hands as she guides her to a standing position again. Emery, like Jess, is finding an answer for everything somehow and the challenger is admittedly getting a little restless about it. Once Emery is in a standing position, she's leaning against the ropes. At this point, Tickles reminds Tendonin to stand back a bit, give Em a bit of space, not put her up against the ropes. Jess turns to Jack for a second to agknowledge this, but that little second of distraction is all that Emery needs, as she clocks Jess hard with a vicious forearm smash. Jess comes out of the corner, her face now suddenly feeling red raw. Emery's knees feel like they're about to fall off her body, but she doesn't let this deter her as she comes off the ropes, spinning her entire body a full three-hundred and sixty degrees as she steps forward. By the time she has spun the entire way, she's back facing Jess and knocks her down onto the ground with a massive elbow that sends them both crashing to the mat.

MATT STEEL:
Discus elbow from Emery Layton! Where the hell did that come from?

MARK SANCTION:
Both competitors showing a will to win at every single opportunity they can here, constantly summoning the strength to carry on.

Jess turns onto her front, holding the side of her head. It collided with the mat as soon as she hit, and she's feeling the effects. Emery, meanwhile, is watching what Jess is doing and trying to make a judgement call as to whether it's time to go for a pin. After a second of watching the Dragon move around a bit, sadly a pinfall attempt wouldn't prove very fruitful right now, and Em knows this. If Jess can still move, she can still kick out. But if she's on the mat and she's not facing her directly, that also works in her favor. The Lethal Lackeen had a plan earlier, and it didn't pan out. She knows what move could put her away, she knows which one it's gonna take, she just has to get there. Looking to her side, she notes the turnbuckle. With one final look back to Jess, the Worst of the Pavees crawls gently towards the rope and rolls out onto the apron. Pulling herself up, she watches Jessica Tendonin like a hawk as she climbs up the turnbuckles for a second time.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton going up top again here, could be going for the Prikasa.

MATT STEEL:
After last time? Not a great plan, in my opinion. Jessica Tendonin has been on the ball this entire time and I don't think she's gonna let up just yet.

MARK SANCTION:
Yeah but look at Emery- she's not letting Jess out of her sight this time. She's not letting her go anywhere without her knowing.

Jess pushes herself up to her feet, but her leg buckles as she drops down to a knee. This gives Em enough time to crawl up onto the top rope, finally and position herself. Jess, once again, knows what's coming. Somehow, somewhere in her gut, something is telling her- Em is on the top rope. The challenger looks to both corners in front of her, but there is no Emery. She looks to the one at her side, and there is no Emery. She looks behind her and there stands Emery.

Immediately as Jess turns, Em leaps off the top rope.

MARK SANCTION:
Here we go!

But Jess runs forward, right into the corner Emery has just come from, bouncing her chest off the top turnbuckle.

MATT STEEL:
Wait! Jess!

Emery almost panics, but her instincts kick in as she lands and rotates her body so that her shoulder makes first imact. Given the fact she's been flying forwards, this allows her to roll through very quickly and avoid accident.

MARK SANCTION:
Em avoids disaster there.

MATT STEEL:
Don't speak too soon!

MARK SANCTION:
What are you-- oh! JESSICA TENDONIN!

As soon as Emery lands, she spins on her foot and turns to face the turnbuckle Jessica ran into. However, this proves to be a problem, because as soon as she does turn, Jess has been running at such a speed that the Supreme XWA Champion's already too late. She's essentially whipped out of the air and thrown to the ground, as Jessica's arm wraps around her midsection and she drops to her knees. It happens at such a speed that Emery's legs go up into air and she hits the mat with a massive smash.

MARK SANCTION:
SPEAR!

MATT STEEL:
Holy Christ, did you see how hard she hit that?

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton goes for the Prikasa a second time, initially avoids disaster, but then gets hit with a spear. Jessica Tendonin is unstoppable!

As soon as Em hits the ground, Camp Jessica is ecstatic. The challenger looks, once again, to Paige Lewis in the front row. Yes, Jess is beaten and battered, but she knows Paige saw that. She wants her to know that she knows she saw that. Now she looks down at Emery one last time before stepping back up to her feet. She nearly drops back down, but at the last second catches herself as she turns, staggering towards the turnbuckle Emery has just come from. Going out onto the apron, the fans cheer as Jessica begins to climb the turnbuckle herself.

MATT STEEL:
And I think she wants to show Em how it's done here.

MARK SANCTION:
We saw her deliver a moonsault before, we know she can do this sort of thing, but can it put away Emery Layton for good?

MATT STEEL:
Did you see that spear, Mark? Come on. She's as good as done here.

Jessica climbs to the very top turnbuckle, standing on the top rope and looking down at Emery, who's lying on her back wondering what day it is and why the lights are so bright right now. With the champion right where she needs her to be, Jessica summons all of her power as she squats down and leaps from the top rope, tucking her head down into her chest as she rotates her body. Like she's doing a big forward roll in the air, really. When she's done a full flip, she rotates a further few degrees, landing on Emery with a bang so big they hear it on Mars. There is a massive, massive ovation as soon as she hits it.

MARK SANCTION:
450 SPLASH!

MATT STEEL:
She's got her.

MARK SANCTION:
Jessica Tendonin with a 450 splash on Emery Layton.

MATT STEEL:
I'm telling you, man, she's got her right here. This is it! You said we'd see history and you're right, we're about to see it- reign number nineteen for Jessica Tendonin, here we go!

Jessica hooks Emery's leg. The eccentric traveller is showing no signs of movement as Tickles drops to his knees and makes that count.

ONE!

TWO!!

THRE--
But Emery kicks out!

Santiago erupts.

MARK SANCTION:
OH MY GOD.

"Ho-ly shit! Ho-ly shit! Ho-ly shit!"

Jessica and Emery lie next to one another, both women electing not to move just yet.

MATT STEEL:
I could've sworn she had her. We were about to see a new champion right there!

MARK SANCTION:
Somehow, someway, Emery Layton manages to stay in this.

Chile begin to rise to their feet, clapping for both competitors and cheering.

MARK SANCTION:
Listen to this!

MATT STEEL:
Well, Chile firmly into this match. And who can blame them?

Slowly, Emery begins to roll on her side. She rolls and rolls and rolls, like she's a big bail of hay, and keeps going until she's under the rope and on the apron. She looks forwards, looking at the turnbuckle. She crawls, she reaches out...but then drops. Her arm droops over the side of the apron. She's too exausted to crawl anywhere. Jessica Tendonin rolls her head towards Emery, taking note of where she is before she turns onto her front and begins to crawl in the direction of that apron.

MARK SANCTION:
Both women going to the apron here...I don't like this.

MATT STEEL:
You put yourself in a very dangerous situation whenever you do anything on the apron. It's the hardest part of the ring!

Jess rolls out onto the apron now. When Emery looks up, Jess is directly facing her. You might think this is probably a pleasant sight but if you've just been speared and moonsaulted and 450'd at for the last while by someone with this face, it most certainly isn't pleasant at all. Jess uses the ropes to aid her, as she lifts herself up into a standing position, still stood on the apron and looking down at the defending Supreme XWA Champion. With a hand full of Em's orange hair and the other hand under her chin, she guides her up to her feet. Once she's in a standing position, she doubles Emery over and places her head between her legs, face down.

MARK SANCTION:
Oh lord no. What the hell is this?

MATT STEEL:
Emery Layton is in a world of trouble. The Supreme XWA title isn't the only thing she neds to worry about here- it's her entire career! If Jessica can hit this...I assume powerbomb...then Em could be done for. I've seen people retire over LESS than that!

Jess hooks Em's mid-section and precariously lifts her up, the Worst of the Pavees' legs draped over her shoulders. The champion is aware of what's going on, but she's trapped in a moment. Every single part of her hurts right now. And yet, she has to do something. If she gets hit with this, it'll get worse. At the wrong angle, she may never feel what it's like to stand up again. And so, while she's up there, the Lethal Lackeen snatches a clump of Jessica's red hair and rains down punches. Doesn't matter where it hits- eye, forehead, nose, where ever, just keep hitting. Keep punching away until something happens in her favor.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery Layton desperate now, trying to get out of this situation.

MATT STEEL:
She needs to do more than this, though. Jess could drop her at any moment- then what?

MARK SANCTION:
I think Em's willing to try anything and everything to survive here, like you said earlier.

The blood from Em's nose is still dripping, and little droplets of it are falling on top of Jessica as she looks down at her and continues to punch away. After a few very, very well-tuned smacks to the face Jessica's grip loosens as Emery places her hands on Jess' shoulders and leapfrogs over her, dropping onto the apron right behind her-

MARK SANCTION:
Em gets out of it!

Jess holds her head, she wipes away the bit of Em's blood that dripped into her eye and turns-

MATT STEEL:
I don't like this...

And as the Heart Breaker from the Heights of Shaker turns, Emery kicks her hard in the gut, now hooking her head under her arm, facing down as the Lethal Lackeen hooks Jessica's arm over her neck. With her other arm, she grabs onto the top of Jessica's tights and uses this as leverage to lift her up into the air.

MARK SANCTION:
Oh my God...

And Emery drops down off the apron and onto the mat, but at the same time, she drops Jessica back-first onto the apron. The sound is akin to someone banging a very loud drum that has a bomb inside it, and said bomb has just exploded. Jessica screeches in pain as she bounces off the apron and onto the floor on the outside.

MARK SANCTION:
OH MY GOD!

MATT STEEL:
See? No one listens to me! No one ever says 'gee, yeah, Matt's right- stay off the apron'! I've no sympathy.

MARK SANCTION:
A vertical suplex onto the apron from Emery Layton may have just turned the tables here...

The Lethal Lackeen has no intention of wasting any more time. This is it- her moment's perfect here. Jessica's finally, finally under her command. The Worst of the Pavees grabs her by the hair. They were both nearly counted out earlier- Em's learned from that, so she pulls her to her feet and rolls Jess back into the ring before crawling back up onto the apron herself. She's breathing heavily, she's absolutely overwhelmed by the fact almost everything is hurting right now, but she's only got this moment here. She has to take it. Stumbling across towards the corner, Emery climbs those three turnbuckles as fast as her beaten body will allow.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery going up top, maybe third time's a charm here...

Re: XWA and the City of the Island Hills MAIN EVENT: Jessica Tendonin vs. Emery Layton - SUPREME XWA TITLE!

Postby DJS » Sat Mar 03, 2018 8:26 pm

Emery doesn't want to wait this time. She did that twice- she's learned from that. She might want to end this with the Prikasa, but that means waiting for Jess to get back to her feet. If there's one big thing she's learned in this match, it's to never allow Jessica Tendonin to get back to her feet after she's taken her down. Turning her back to Jessica, the Supreme XWA Champion takes no chances. Pouncing up in the air, she rotates her body backwards, flipping in the air not once by twice until she smashes into Jessica Tendonin like an astroid. If she can't hit her with the Prikasa, she can damn sure hit her with the...

MARK SANCTION:
WUTHERING HEIGHTS! Emery Layton hits Wuthering Heights on Jessica Tendonin! Could this be it?

Em is battered. All she can manage is to throw one arm over Jessica, facing downwards. Tickles drops for the count-

ONE!

TWO!!

THREE!!!

The bell rings, but neither competitors moves. They're both too exhausted and beaten down. As "Running Up That Hill" by The Feud returns to the airwaves, Hana Ramierez rises to her feet with microphone in hand.

HANA RAMIEREZ:
Here is your winner and STILL Supreme XWA Champion...EMERY! LAYTON!

MARK SANCTION:
God. What a match. What a main event we've just seen here tonight. Two very similar athletes, similar competitors, but Emery Layton comes out with a second successful title defense.

MATT STEEL:
Both women had their good and bad moments in equal value. It could've gone either way, really. If there was a rematch, I'd definitely watch.

By this point, Emery has reached her feet. If it wasn't for the fact she was being handed her Supreme XWA title by Tickles, she'd have no idea what's just happened. Her nose, her jaw...her existence, really. It all hurts. In the corner, Jessica Tendonin uses the ropes to pull herself up, holding her back. It aches and burns as she tries to force herself into a standing position. Emery turns to see Jessica staggering forward. The two of them in front of the other. They can see it in the other persons' eyes. They both just took each other to the absolute limit. They're both hurting, immensely. And yet, tonight, they did something spectacular. They put on a classic. Em extends the hand...and Jessica takes it. As Jess lets go, Emery does not. She shakes her head...And then pulls her in for a full embrace!

MARK SANCTION:
Look at that. The sportsmanship being shown by both competitors as end here in Santiago. And I'd say if you asked me and these fans here tonight, Jessica Tendonin more than proved she'll be a massive player in XWA going forward.

MATT STEEL:
If she keeps putting on performances like that, I don't think it'll be long before she's defending the title herself!

The people of Santiago break out into polite applause that eventually develops into a loud cheer for both of them.

MARK SANCTION:
Ladies and gentlemen, this has been XWA and the City of the Island Hills, I'm Mark Sa--

Lights out.

MATT STEEL:
Uh...bit early! They're still in the ring. Don't turn the lights off yet, guys!

MARK SANCTION:
What's going on?

There is a terrible murmur. Like a storm's about to brew. Santiago can feel the silence. Santiago can see the dark. Something terrible is about to happen.

Like lightning, we see the face of something wicked flash up on our screen. Or, rather, something so very...

Special.

Image

The lights come back up, and stood in the ring, behind Emery and Jessica is none other than Serena Maxwell. With an open mouth smile, and a familiar spiked black leather jacket and mouthguard, the Unexplainable One waits for Emery to turn before she runs forward full throttle and takes her down.

MARK SANCTION:
Wait a minute! WAIT A MINUTE! Serena Maxwell! Former War Enforcement member Serena Maxwell is here!

MATT STEEL:
I thought she was in IYH now?

MARK SANCTION:
She was! She IS! Brian Mays, their play-by-play, told me she'd gotten worse since Diamond Jack Sabbath disappeared but I didn't expect her to be here!

MATT STEEL:
Is that Jack's mouthguard? And his jacket? She's beating the shit out of Emery Layton!

Serena fires away with punch after punch after punch, and even Jessica Tendonin tries to intervene before being thrown back by a far fresher, unrelenting Serena. Rolling under the bottom rope, she looks around. Clearly she's looking for something, as to what it is we're not sure. But she knows. In her head, it makes sense to her. Finally, once she sees it, she smiles. It's Emery's jacket. Rolling back into the ring, she looks down at the Supreme XWA Championship. She could make her statement right now- tell the world she wants that...

Nah.

She kicks it over to Emery and then wanders over to her, pushing her head down in bullyish fashion until she stomps on Emery's hair, keeping her in place. The champion's eyes water as Serena reaches inside Em's jacket pocket to pull out...her beanie. Once again, she smiles. Looking over to Tickles, she bellows at him to get her a mic and do it NOW. Not wanting to face her wrath, Tickles has someone get her a mic. She snatches it from them as she stands over Emery and raises it to her mouth.

SERENA MAXWELL:
You thought I wouldn't recognise this, did you? It was hers. I knew it the day I saw you wearing it. I had someone taken away from me, too, Emery. I had someone who used to tell me I was special.

Her smile fades.

SERENA MAXWELL:
...Until you and your friends took him away at Legends. No one tells me I'm special now, Emery. Tell me I'm special.

She stomps down harder on Emery's hair.

SERENA MAXWELL:
TELL ME I'M SPECIAL, EMERY.

Jessica Tendonin has had enough and jumps on Serena's back, putting one arm around her neck and the other over her head while wrapping her legs around her midsection.

MARK SANCTION:
Jessica Tendonin fighting her off!

MATT STEEL:
Not the best idea right here- does Jess know who this is?

MARK SANCTION:
I don't think she really cares!

"Unexplainable" Serena Maxwell tries to look for some leverage, but in the end, she grabs Jess' head and flings her over her shoulder, onto the mat. Jess isn't down for long, but Serena isn't in the ring for long either. She's still got the beanie and the microphone. She raises it up, as she stares into Emery's soul.

SERENA MAXWELL:
Ooohhh, Emery. I guess the universe doesn't want our moment to happen tonight, old friend. I'll be at Hammerstein Ballroom next month. You can tell me I'm special then.

She drops the mic but, as a final exclamation point, holds the beanie with both hands and pulls on it, ripping it to shreds. Serena dumps the pieces on the floor and legs it through the crowd as Emery watches the last piece of Yasuko she has left get destroyed right in front of her.

MATT STEEL:
Serena and Emery next month? Can that even get sanctioned? Is Serena even under contract anymore?

MARK SANCTION:
I dunno. All I know is she just made it personal...

And on that image, we fade out as XWA and the City of the Island Hills concludes.

The feed pans the arena now, showing the screaming twelve thousand fans. The night has been absolutely amazing so far. Each encounter, main event quality. The fans have been on an emotional rollercoaster. And now...it’s time. The fans are excited. They’re holding up all manner of items. A number of fans were carrying backpacks. Other held up signs supporting their favorite XWA stars. The feed now shows the play by play announcer, Mark Sanction, and the color commentator, Mark Steel.

MARK SANCTION:
It’s time...for the main event! This match came about from Tendonin calling out Layton, before the ink on her XWA contract had even dried! And Emery Layton, never one to back down, accepted the challenge, and even vowed to put the Supreme XWA Championship on the line!

MATT STEEL:
Yeah, this match has had social media buzzing for days! I’ve gotta call bull, though. I’ve checked out stats on this new broad. Am I really expected to believe her ass is six foot two and weighs two hundred pounds?

MARK SANCTION:
We’ll find out in a moment! I’ve seen her in action, though, and she seems to tower over a lot of her opponents, the females, anyway.

MATT STEEL:
Gonna take more than stature to take down our Supreme XWA Champion, though. She proved that last month, when she conquered Blake Archer!

MARK SANCTION:
It’s time...for the main event! This match came about from Tendonin calling out Layton, before the ink on her XWA contract had even dried! And Emery Layton, never one to back down, accepted the challenge, and even vowed to put the Supreme XWA Championship on the line!

MARK SANCTION:
Before they get out here, I want to explain, for anyone who doesn’t understand, even now, how BIG this match is.

MATT STEEL:
Oh yeah. Jessica might be making her debut here tonight, but these fans will be no stranger, I’m sure, to the leader of the Order of the Dragon.

MARK SANCTION:
The Order of the Dragon, led by Jessica, boast an alleged membership of over two hundred women, all involved in combat sports. They’ve got wrestlers, boxers, MMA fighters, you name it.

MATT STEEL:
This match, Jessica Tendonin vs Emery Layton might have happened sooner, but prior engagements prohibited it. Jessica and Emery were both wrestling in Union Battleground last year. Jessica left, however, to return to SCW.

MARK SANCTION:
And she made good work of it, picking up three championships in that organization in the year they’ve been reopened!

MATT STEEL:
Emery stuck it out with Union Battleground, though, and it’s worked out very well for her! Over a year as the Trench War Champion, and now, she is in the finals of the tournament for the Crown of the King Cobra!

MARK SANCTION:
And now, these two are meeting here tonight, in XWA.

MATT STEEL:
The dynasty versus the young star.

MARK SANCTION:
And here comes the challenger!

Party Monster by The Weeknd began playing through the arena audio system, getting a massive pop from the fans. After a few seconds, Jessica Tendonin walked out onto the stage, the SCW World Heavyweight Championship around her waist, and the SCW International Heavyweight Championship in her right hand. She stood there for a moment, raising both arms above her head, posing for the fans who cheered her. Tendonin then began walking down the ramp, slowly lowering her arms.

MARK SANCTION:
Good God almighty! Look at the size of her!

MATT STEEL:
Someone has been taking bad pictures of her! She’s definitely at least six foot tall, I can see it now!

"I'm Good, I'm Good, I'm Great!"

Tendonin reached the ring and stood for a moment, looking around at the arena. Basking in the cheers, Tendonin smiled as she climbed into the ring. She walked to the nearest turnbuckle and climbed it, posing for the crowd, unstrapping the belt at her waist and then raising both into the air. Jumping down a moment later, Tendonin put the belts over both of her shoulders, and asked for a microphone. Someone tossed her one as her music faded out.

JESSICA TENDONIN
Hola Chile! Que pasa!? When the news broke a few weeks ago, that yours truly had signed with the XWA, the wrestling world shook. But then, when it was confirmed that I would be facing off against the amazing Emery Layton, the shaking continued as it was also announced that we would do battle for the Supreme XWA Championship! So, you are all getting a double treat here tonight. When you bought your ticket to tonight’s show, you knew you were going to witness one hell of an event. But...what if...you all get to see Jessica Tendonin versus Emery Layton, for the Supreme XWA Championship...for free!? I said bring a bag and a friend, so I hope you did both! Drop it!

Tendonin pointed, and the fans followed her. To their delight, from the rafters, bank notes began to flutter towards them.

MARK SANCTION:
What the!? There’s money falling from the sky! Hallelujah, it’s raining Franklin’s! Are you seeing this, Matt?

MATT STEEL:
Heck yeah, but those are fives, not hundreds! And...are these pesos?!

JESSICA TENDONIN
Ladies and gentlemen, this is five million dollars of my own money! Consider tonight’s event, and dinner, on me! That is how excited I am to be here wrestling for all of you! I want this to be memorable!

Santiago cheers - they know what's coming. They know who is coming.

As "Running Up That Hill" by The Feud hits the PA system and light explodes to life, the excitement hits the air. The Worst of the Pavees herself - wearing her leather jacket and beanie over her gear and her and the Supreme XWA Championship around her waist- emerges from behind the curtain, clearly impressed with the amount of people who have turned out. She's nodding her head, holding her arms out as she struts down the ramp and swaying her head to the beat of her entrance theme, her eyes closed. She's lost in the moment, there's nowhere else she'd rather be right now.

MARK SANCTION:
Last month, in Chicago, the Traveller got a huge ovation like this as well, as she prepared to defend for the first time, the Supreme XWA Championship, against Blake Archer. Can she do it again tonight against the self-proclaimed Heart Breaker from the Heights of Shaker?

MATT STEEL:
I hope this new chick gives that cheater Emery Layton what she deserves, and takes the Supreme XWA title from her!

MARK SANCTION:
That Olympic worthy roll there from the champion as we are almost ready for the official announcements here. And would you come off of it with this cheating nonsense? Layton has played by the book, from day one.

MATT STEEL:
She stuck her nose in Michael Swift and Lx-Tim’s business at Legends, and stole the Supreme XWA Championship!

It's at this point Hana Ramierez steps forward. The song by The Feud has faded out, and champion and challenger alike stare at each other from opposite corners of the ring. Jessica looks into the crowd and sees a sign that says “March 10th, Your Doom!” Jessica blows a kiss to Paige Lewis, her upcoming opponent, before focusing her attention on Emery again.

MARK SANCTION:
I think Jessica has finally spotted Paige Lewis, who had alluded to being here tonight.

MATT STEEL:
I watched their Ironman Match at SCW’s Survival, and those two went to war.

HANA RAMIEREZ:
The following contest, set for one fall--

The fans follow up - "One Fall!"

HANA RAMIEREZ:
-- Is for the Supreme XWA Championship! Introducing first, the challenger - from Shaker Heights, Ohio, weighing 195Ibs, she is the Heart Breaker from the Heights of Shaker, the Paraguayan Sensation, Jessica “The Dragon” Tendonin!!!

Tendonin stepped forward and moonwalked across the ring. The audience cheered at this. Tendonin made her way back to her corner.

HANA RAMIEREZ:
And her opponent - from Anywhere and Everywhere, weighing 135 Ibs, she is the reigning, defending Supreme XWA Champion - EMERY! LAYTON!

Emery pulled herself up out of a sitting position, holding the title. She slowly moved forward, now holding it in the air. As the fans cheer, she began to strut forward, nodding her head.

MARK SANCTION:
That Olympic worthy roll there from the champion as we are almost ready for the official announcements here. And would you come off of it with this cheating nonsense? Layton has played by the book, from day one.

MATT STEEL:
She stuck her nose in Michael Swift and Lx-Tim’s business at Legends, and stole the Supreme XWA Championship!

Emery passed the Supreme XWA Championship to the official, Jack Tickles, who held it up in the air for everyone to see. After this was done, the belt was passed to someone out of the ring. The referee checked Jessica for weapons first. He found none, and moved on to Emery. Again, no weapons were found. The referee signalled for the opening bell and the match began. Jessica and Emery met in the center of the ring. The Traveller and the Dragon bumped fists before backing up. The crowd was split as they cheered.

MARK SANCTION:
Nice show of respect there from both competitors. If you’ve been following them on twitter, they’ve trades words, and been nothing but pleasant to each other. There’s something to be said about a championship match when there is bad blood between the competitors. But, two stars at the top of their game, going at it just for the hell of it, and throwing the gold in? There is nothing purer. I think we are in for a hell of a match tonight.

MATT STEEL:
A fist bump? What ever happened to a handshake, or a slap to the face?

The pair locked up in the center of the ring, jockeying for position. Emery ducked behind Jessica, grabbing her by the waist. Jessica struggled to remove Emery’s grip before she was briefly lifted up, and then slammed faced down onto the mat.

MARK SANCTION:
Nice belly to back suplex from Emery, taking the skyscraper of a woman, Jessica Tendonin, down.

MATT STEEL:
Yawn, yawn.

As Jessica got back to her feet, Emery caught her with a huge Forearm Smash that staggered her. Emery Irish Whipped the larger woman into the ropes. On the rebound, Jessica was taken down with a Spinning Wheel Kick. The crowd popped as Emery crouched, gauging the Dragon. Jessica got to her feet again, and Emery pounced with a huge Dropkick, that took her down again.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery doing a good job of keeping Jessica grounded here. We’ve seen Emery’s ability to adapt for all situations she’s faced with.

MATT STEEL:
Big bad Jessica Tendonin has yet to get any offense in.

Emery picked Jessica up and whipped her into a corner, where she followed, and drilled the challenger with a Dropkick. Emery yanked Jessica out of the corner and slammed her to the mat. Emery stood at her legs, and wrapped herself up with the six footer, and then leaned back, grabbing her around the neck.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery locks in the Muta Lock here! She is looking for the submission, but if it fails, it still wears the challenger down.

MATT STEEL:
Yes, get this over with so I can go home.

Emery had it locked in, and referee Tickles asked if she wanted to give. Jessica yelled no, and began struggling harder. Emery started grunting, as if in pain, and her back became more arched until she released the Muta Lock. Jessica had used her leg strength to force a release, but her power launched Emery forward into the turnbuckle.

MARK SANCTION:
That’s one hell of a way to break a Muta Lock, I’ll tell ya right now! What a display of power.

MATT STEEL:
I’ll admit, it was kinda cool. But overall, I’m not impressed by this newcomer.

Jessica was first to her feet, and she grabbed Emery to her feet as well. The champion was still a bit stunned from being launched into the turnbuckle, and fell victim to a Northern Lights Suplex. But Jessica rolled through and mounted Emery.

MARK SANCTION:
Jessica finally getting going here.

MATT STEEL:
Yeah, but - wait what the?

Jessica transitioned from a mount to a Handstand, and the crowd popped with excitement.

MARK SANCTION:
Oh, I know this is going to hurt!

MATT STEEL:
What are you talking about?

Jessica dropped her knees, driving them into Emery’s midsection, making her gasp in pain. Jessica stood, looking down at Emery. Jessica picked her up and whipped her into the ropes. On the rebound, Emery took Jessica down with a Slingblade that drew cheers from the fans.

MARK SANCTION:
Early on here, both of these women have gotten some offense in, but the Supreme XWA Champion is hitting more effective attacks on the challenger.

MATT STEEL:
I hate having to call her that.

MARK SANCTION:
What?

MATT STEEL:
That cheating thief, Emery!

MARK SANCTION:
Oh god, you’re still on that? Look, you’re-

MATT STEEL:
Check this out!

Emery had landed the Busaiku Knee Attack on Jessica, and was perched on the turnbuckle as the Paraguayan got to her feet. When Jessica turned around, Emery jumped, looking to complete the Eat The Music combo.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery could be putting this one away quick if she hits this!

MATT STEEL:
Too early.

Jessica caught Emery out of the air, and looked to have her in position for her own finisher, the Psycho Driver. Emery wiggled out of it and fell to her knees. The pair of redheads stared at each now.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery was looking for the Eat The Music, wrapping it up with that Prikasa, but Jessica somehow caught her, and looked to be setting up the Paraguayan Imprint, but Emery countered it. Both women have fired and missed with their finishers now.

Jessica gestured for Emery to get up. Emery grinned as she got to her feet. Then, she charged at Jessica, who countered with a Spinning Spinebuster, planting Emery hard on the mat. Emery groaned in pain as Jessica yanked her to her feet by the hair. The referee warned her about the hair pull and she nodded.

MARK SANCTION:
Got to watch that hair pulling, and a veteran like Jessica knows that. She’s slowly taking control here.

MATT STEEL:
Yes, more hair pulling! Grab a chair! That’s what I want to see!

Emery threw a hard right that sent Jessica staggering back. The champion followed this up with another, and then a third before Jessica fired back a right of her own. The pair began to trade punches. Emery, giving up sixty pounds and eight inches, gave as good as she got from the Paraguayan. Jessica went for a Clothesline, but Emery backflipped under her arm.

MARK SANCTION:
Classic Emery with that patented Rolling The Ball as she takes the big Latin lass down.

MATT STEEL:
Latin lass?

MARK SANCTION:
No go?

MATT STEEL:
Stop pandering and call the damn match!

Emery got to her feet and darted for the turnbuckle. When she reached the top, the crowd knew what was about to happen, and they chanted the name of the finisher. Emery jumped and executed the Double Flip Moonsault. She successfully nailed Jessica with it and hooked her leg.

MARK SANCTION:
Wuthering Heights! Champion closing in on a win!

MATT STEEL:
Finally!

ONE!

TWO!!

KICKOUT!!!

The crowd roared with excitement as the match went on.

MARK SANCTION:
Jessica Tendonin has just kicked out of the Wuthering Heights, and this baby will continue!

MATT STEEL:
For the love of…

Emery was first to her feet, with Jessica following shortly. Emery charged at Jessica, but Jessica countered with a Samoan Drop. Jessica then performed a kip up, and landed perfectly on her feet. Emery followed suit, and the pair stared at each other as the crowd applauded the athleticism. Jessica charged at the north ropes, while Emery tore towards the east ropes. Then, Jessica rebounded towards the east ropes, while Emery did the same towards the south ropes. The crowd reacted with laughter.

MARK SANCTION:
Are they playing tag?

MATT STEEL:
I have no response to that.

After making a circuit around the ring two or three times, the pair met in the center, and looked in opposite directions at the crowd, both with wide grins. Then, their eyes met again, and Emery grabbed Jessica, trying to whip her into a corner, but Jessica countered, and Emery ran the referee over. As Tickles went down, Emery covered her face in shock. The crowd gasped.

MARK SANCTION:
We’ve got no official! The referee got caught in the crossfire!

MATT STEEL:
Maybe one of them will make this interesting and grab a hair.

Someone hopped the barricade and climbed up onto the apron, wearing a hood. Emery turned to see Jessica and the hooded figure. The woman in the hood yanked it back, revealing…

MARK SANCTION:
WHAT IN THE HELL!?

MATT STEEL:
Jessica Tendonin just became more interesting! I didn’t know she had a twin sister!

Two more hooded figures came out of the crowd and climbed the aprons. Each of the them removed their hood, again showing Jessica’s face in every direction Emery looked. The crowd exploded with excited.

MARK SANCTION:
WHAT IS GOING ON HERE IN SANTIAGO?! Ladies and gentlemen, we’re seeing three doppelgangers of Jessica Tendonin here tonight. I can’t believe what I’m seeing, and it looks as if Emery Layton, reigning and defending Supreme XWA champion is sharing that sentiment!

MATT STEEL:
Now THIS is awesome! Go on, give that thief what is coming to her!

Emery charged at one of the new arrivals, but they jumped off the apron, and when Emery turned around, Jessica’s hand found her throat. Jessica moved her thumb across her own throat, the all familiar prelude to what was to come next; the Chokeslam! The crowd popped with excited as Emery tried to get free.

MARK SANCTION:
This is bizarre, ladies and gentlemen, but it does not look like we’re going to see interference...at least not yet, but Jessica has Emery set up for that Chokeslam!

MATT STEEL:
The thief is getting what she deserves.

Jessica pumped Emery into the air. But the champion countered and transitioned in a Straight-Jacket Crossface, driving the crowd wild!

MARK SANCTION:
What a counter into a submission! But the referee is still down!

MATT STEEL:
Of course he is!

Emery leaned back, putting more pressure on Jessica, making the Paraguayan scream in pain. After a moment, Emery realized the referee was still out, so she released the hold. Emery got to her feet and looked towards the turnbuckle. The crowd popped as she made her way to the corner and climbed to the top. As she reached the top, Jessica and the referee were both getting up.

MARK SANCTION:
I know what’s coming next, and I think these fans in Santiago know what’s next, as well!

MATT STEEL:
Yeah, yeah.

As Jessica got to her feet, favoring her back, Emery lined her up and then jumped off the top rope, perfectly executing the top rope diving cutter. The crowd roared as Jessica went down and Emery rested on her knees.

MARK SANCTION:
The Prikasa! Emery hit the Prikasa! It’s over!

MATT STEEL:
Would you calm down!

Emery leaned forward and covered Jessica, hooking her leg. The referee hit the deck and began counting the pin. The crowd counted along.

ONE!

TWO!!

KICKOUT!!!

MARK SANCTION:
She kicked out! Jessica Tendonin just kicked out of the Prikasa!

MATT STEEL:
Oh relax!

MARK SANCTION:
This woman, making her debut here in XWA, challenging for the Supreme XWA Championship, has kicked out of our champions best moves! What does Emery have to do to put this newcomer away?

MATT STEEL:
Hopefully, whatever it is, it involves you no longer frothing at the mouth.

As Emery rolled away from Jessica, it was now that the referee noticed Jessica’s...whatever they were. Shocked, he looked at all three of them, and then at Jessica, on her side in the ring. After a brief hesitation, Tickles pointed at all three of them, and then at the entrance area, demanding they leave.

MARK SANCTION:
The referee is expelling Jessica’s distractions!

MATT STEEL:
Not that there was really any need.

All three of them jumped on the apron and began arguing with the referee. Emery turned to them, waving goodbye. Jessica took advantage of the distraction and grabbed Emery to Irish whip her into the ropes. But Emery countered into a Back Handspring, and followed with a Cutter! Emery covered Jessica, but the referee was still trying to eject the three new arrivals!

MARK SANCTION:
Strange Phenomena, but the referee is still dealing with these three women who appeared out of the crowd! Emery could have this won right now, but no!

MATT STEEL:
Would you calm down!

Emery had Jessica pinned for well beyond the amount of time for a three count. Emery got to her feet and turned to the three women, and charged at them angrily. Emery launched herself over the top rope, taking all three of them down with her. The crowd exploded with approval.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery has had enough of them now, and decided to take care of them herself!

MATT STEEL:
I’m not sure that was a smart move. What the hell!?

In the ring, as Jessica got to her feet, a blonde woman slid into the ring. The referee had his back turned, looking at the carnage Emery had just created.

MARK SANCTION:
Who the hell...no!

MATT STEEL:
Is that who I think it is!

The blonde picked Jessica up, kicked her in the gut, and then took her down with a Cradle Tombstone Piledriver. The crowd roared as the blonde woman slipped out of the ring before the referee could see her. The woman began gesturing to her waist, making the gesture for a championship belt, as she backed away from the ring, before jumping into the crowd.

MARK SANCTION:
Ladies and gentlemen, that’s Paige Lewis, the Black Princess! She’s set to go one on one with Jessica Tendonin elsewhere, in mere days, but apparently, she couldn’t wait! She might have just cost Jessica this match!

MATT STEEL:
Now this is damn exciting!

The crowd began chanting “Holy Shit” as both competitors in the match were laid out. The referee began counting Emery out.

MARK SANCTION:
If Emery gets counted out, she will lose this match, but she would still be the Supreme XWA Champion!

MATT STEEL:
The sneaky cheat.

As the referee got to 4, Emery began stirring. By 7, she was crawling back into the ring. Jessica was still laid out. Emery noted this and jogged to the corner, and reached the top. Lining Jessica up, Emery jumped.

MARK SANCTION:
Wuthering Heights! Emery hits the Wuthering Heights!

MATT STEEL:
More like Cheatering Heights!

ONE!

TWO!!

KICKOUT!!!

The crowd thundered with excitement as Emery rolled away from Jessica, kneeling, showing only a hint of frustration.

MARK SANCTION:
I can’t believe what I’m seeing, ladies and gentlemen! Emery just knew she had it won right there, and so did I! After the run in by Paige Lewis, Emery puts the exclamation point on it, by nailing the Wuthering Heights, but somehow, some way, Jessica manages to stay alive!

MATT STEEL:
I’m actually impressed. This new chick sure can take a beating.

Emery stood now, and grabbed Jessica by the hair, yanking her to her feet. Emery went for an Irish Whip, but Jessica countered. Emery hit the ropes, tilted back through the top and middle ropes, bouncing her legs off the top before shooting back at Jessica, completing the Pendulum Lariat.

MARK SANCTION:
Babooshka!

MATT STEEL:
Online, people giving three to one odds in Emery’s favor of leaving with the championship.

MARK SANCTION:
Put your phone away and pay attention to the damn match!

MATT STEEL:
YOU’RE NOT MY WRESTLING SUPERVISOR!

MARK SANCTION:
Have you been binge watching Archer?

MATT STEEL:
Maybe...

Both women were back on their feet. Emery charged at Jessica. Jessica grabbed her arm, repositioned herself, and had Emery’s arm behind her. Jessica drove Emery to the mat with a thud.

MARK SANCTION:
Nice Hammerlock DDT there by Jessica. Looks like she’s going to fly now!

MATT STEEL:
I remember a time when going to the top ropes was special.

Indeed, perched on the top rope, Jessica was ready. Standing straight up, the Paraguayan sighted Emery before she jumped.

MARK SANCTION:
Look at the height she got on that Paraguayan Atmospheric Drop! Any higher and she’d need to file a flight plan!

MATT STEEL:
A cruiserweight that can jump high! Impressive!

As Jessica was coming down, Emery rolled out of the way. Jessica reacted in a split second, landed with a roll that brought her to one knee, and quickly turned in time to take a brutal Busaiku Knee Attack to the face.

MARK SANCTION:
Eat The Music! Emery damn near decapitated Jessica with that massive Eat The Music!

MATT STEEL:
Holy shit! We’ve got blood!

Indeed, the knee to the face had busted open the challenger. Jessica groggily struggled to her feel, and Emery kicked her in the gut, doubling her over, and then picking her up in the powerbomb position with a backslide, setting up the Gory Special.

MARK SANCTION:
For anyone doubting that Emery can be an effective Supreme XWA Champion, look at how she is dominating this seventeen year veteran! The Gory Special will wear you out fast, and the quickest way out of it is also the hardest!

MATT STEEL:
I hate to see such a pretty face covered in blood, but this Jessica is one tough cookie. She’s taken everything Emery has thrown at her so far.

Jessica groaned in pain as Tickles asked her if she wanted to submit. The Paraguayan shook her head no. Emery released her arms and grabbed Jessica’s feet and went for a sit out, causing Jessica to slam face first into the mat. Jessica rolled over in pain as Emery pulled herself up by the ropes and made her way to the turnbuckle.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery has taken control of this match. She’s busted the challenger open, worn her down, and even beaten back the would be distractions.

MATT STEEL:
And don’t forget that assist from Paige Lewis.

MARK SANCTION:
What?! That’s got nothing to do with Emery! She didn’t need Lewis’ help! Hell, she probably didn’t even see her come out here. She was busy taking out Jessica’s crew!

MATT STEEL:
Excuses, excuses.

Emery pulled herself up to the second rope, and looked around the crowd, a smile forming as Jessica began getting up. Emery pointed upwards and the crowd cheered. Emery went to the top rope as Jessica got to both feet. Emery jumped as soon Jessica turned around.

MARK SANCTION:
Who knows what Emery was going for here, but Jessica’s caught her out of the air, wrapping that strong hand of her around the champions throat!

MATT STEEL:
Emery was trying to pander to these fans, and it’s going to cost her!

The crowd thundered as Jessica made the cut throat gesture. With a smile as blood streamed down her face, Jessica lifted the struggling Emery into the air, and then drove her into the mat. Jessica collapsed to one knee after delivering the Chokeslam. Jessica got to her feet now, and made her way to the nearest turnbuckle and began climbing. When Jessica turned, Emery was gone! No, she was on the opposite turnbuckle!

MARK SANCTION:
Trademark Emery, ladies and gentlemen.

MATT STEEL:
I fight back puke whenever she does this.

Jessica jumped down from the turnbuckle, and Emery did the same thing. Jessica walked to the center of the ring, and Emery did the same thing. Jessica held up her hand. Emery looked as if she was going to do the same thing, and suddenly, she stopped moving.

MARK SANCTION:
What hell! I thought it was a joke! Jessica using the Dragon Force Choke on Emery!

MATT STEEL:
Notice how Emery is turning red in the face?

Jessica moved behind Emery, and waited. A few seconds later, Emery was able to move and clutched at her throat. The champion looked around, looking for her opponent. Then, Emery turned and was face to face with her. Jessica turned and grabbed Emery’s head, pulling her jaw down onto her shoulder before dropping to the mat. Emery popped backwards as if fired out of a cannon.

MARK SANCTION:
The Dragon Dream! Jessica just nailed Emery with the Dragon Dream! She’s gotta be out cold after that!

MATT STEEL:
And these fans are eating it up!

Jessica crawled to Emery and covered her for a pin as Tickles got to his knees.

MARK SANCTION:
This is it! We might have a new Supreme XWA Champion in a matter of seconds!

ONE!

TWO!!

KICKOUT!!!

Emery kicked out! The arena shook as 12,000 voices screamed with excitement. Jessica rolled away from Emery and got to one knee. Emery rolled over onto her side, groaning. The crowd began chanting “XWA! XWA! XWA!”

MARK SANCTION:
I don’t know how Emery managed to kick out of that, but the how doesn’t matter! What matters is that perhaps now, she is realizing Jessica means business! We know Emery’s got a bag of magic that she digs into to get a job done.

MATT STEEL:
This match is finally getting interesting.

Jessica slowly got to her feet. She doubled over, catching her breath as Emery began getting up. The two women looked each other up and down before Emery whipped Jessica into the corner. Emery sprinted after her, but Jessica ran up the turnbuckles, and did a backflip out of the corner.

MARK SANCTION:
Nice display of athleticism there by Jessica.

MATT STEEL:
I think we are going to have a new champion. Jessica is doing a great job of exposing Emery’s flaws.

MARK SANCTION:
What the hell are you on about?!

Jessica turned Emery around and slammed her back into the corner, and began unloading rapid lefts and rights into the midsection of the Supreme XWA Champion. Emery slumped down in the corner and Jessica ran to the ropes, rebounding. Asshe came back, the Dragon went for a Running Facewash, but the Traveller rolled out of the corner and Jessica crashed into it! Emery was suddenly up top, and she jumped!

MATT STEEL:
The thief might have seriously injured Jessica, there.

MARK SANCTION:
Stop calling her a damned thief! OH MY GOD! THE PRIKASA! EMERY NAILS THE PRIKASA AGAIN! IT’S OVER! EMERY HAS THIS ONE IN THE BAG!

Emery slowly crawled into a cover. The referee began the count and the crowd joined in.

”ONE!”

”TWO!!”

”THREE!!!”

The crowd erupted as they counted three, and Emery got to her feet celebrating gingerly. The referee spent the better part of a minute trying to get Emery’s attention. When he managed to get her attention, he explained that the match was not over...Jessica’s foot was on the bottom rope. The fans seemed to realize this at the same time as Emery. Emery grunted and stomped towards Jessica, and grabbed her by the hair, dragging her across the ring. The referee tried to warn her about the hair, but Jessica gained her wits and got up, shoving Emery. Emery careened into the referee, who tumbled out of the ring.

MARK SANCTION:
EMERY THOUGHT IT WAS OVER! THE FANS THOUGHT IT WAS OVER! BY GOD, I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER! BUT THIS MATCH WILL CONTINUE! AND THERE GOES THE REFEREE AGAIN!

MATT STEEL:
Calm down before you have a stroke!

Jessica rolled out of the ring with a bit of a limp, and Emery exited from the other side. Both women began digging around under the ring. Emery removed a table and began sliding it into the ring. Jessica began pulling a ladder out from under the ring.

MARK SANCTION:
Oh come on, both of them looking to take advantage of the referee being down.

MATT STEEL:
Supreme XWA Championship on the line, do what you gotta do.

Jessica was still pulling the ladder from under the ring when Emery rolled into the ring. Emery saw this, and ran across the ring, launching herself over the top rope. Jessica jumped to the side, groaning as she landed on her leg. But Emery hit the floor with a thud. A gasp rippled through the arena.

MARK SANCTION:
If this doesn’t end soon, one of them are going to severely injure themselves! Emery’s not moving, Jessica’s got a limp! This is XWA!

MATT STEEL:
If Jessica can wake the ref, get Emery back in the ring, and pin her, right now, this over. The cheating Emery is out code after that.

Jessica made her way to Emery, and picked her up. Jessica rolled Emery’s limp form into the ring, and rolled in after her. Jessica set up the table near the corner, and grabbed the groggy champion, who was struggling to her feet. Dragging Emery to the turnbuckle, Jessica got to the top, and dragged Emery upwards. The pair were both standing on the ropes now, and Jessica looked like she was going to set Emery up for a powerbomb, through the table.

MARK SANCTION:
Not like this, Jessica! If you’re gonna win, not like this!

MATT STEEL:
DO IT!

Before Jessica could continue, Emery poked her in the eyes, and jumped onto her shoulders, and then leaned back.

MARK SANCTION:
Counter! Emery with a Frankensteiner off the top rope! OH MY GOD, AND SHE SENDS JESSICA CRASHING THROUGH THE TABLE!

MATT STEEL:
THAT CHEATER!!

MARK SANCTION:
SHUT UP! JESSICA WAS GOING TO PUT EMERY THROUGH IT, DAMN IT!

MATT STEEL:
AND EMERY WOULD HAVE DESERVED IT!

Both women were laid out now. The crowd was chanting “HOLY SHIT!” repeatedly. And yet, it wasn’t over.

MARK SANCTION:
I don’t know how either of them are still going, ladies and gentlemen. Especially when both of these women have full time schedules!

MATT STEEL:
Again, Supreme XWA Championship on the line. This match might knock a few months off of their careers, but if they leave with the strap, it will be well worth it.

The crowd popped as they looked towards the entrance area.Adam Fenric was running out from the back! Emery Layton’s tag team partner slid into the ring at a hundred miles an hour and began removing the broken pieces of the tables from the ring. When finished, Adam began trying to rouse Emery, with some success. Adam rolled out of the ring now, and grabbed the referee, rolling him into the ring. The referee began counting.

ONE!

TWO!!

KICKOUT!!!

The entire nuclear arsenal of the United States military could have detonated in the arena, and it would not have been heard over the sound of the screaming fans. At ringside, Adam Fenric has a look of total shock on his face. Jessica kicked out, and even Emery was in shock. The referee got to his feet now. Adam was spotted and the referee immediately expelled him from the ring area.

MARK SANCTION:
Fenric being kicked out! He came down to...well, I’m not quite sure what it was about, but he’s being kicked out!

MATT STEEL:
You idiot. He came out to make sure his partner didn’t get disqualified! The cheating must be a team trait!

Emery stood slowly, and picked Jessica up. Emery turned around, but Jessica was faster, jumping up onto her shoulders from behind, and leaning back.

MARK SANCTION:
Dragon Destroyer from Jessica! Emery is out!

MATT STEEL:
And what...hey, when did they come back?!

The three women who looked like Jessica were back, and they were pulling the ladder from under the ring.

MARK SANCTION:
That ladder has to be about 30 damn feet long, holy shit!

MATT STEEL:
But what are they doing with it!?

Jessica held herself up by the ropes, and made her way to the corner, and then the top rope. As this was happening, the referee expelled the three women again. This time, security came and escorted them back into the audience, and up the steps. Jessica, her face covered in blood, looked around the arena, and then at Emery, who was still down. Jessica grinned now. With a calculated jump, Jessica leaped off the turnbuckle, and onto the ladder, as a shocked gasp rippled through the arena.

MARK SANCTION:
What! No, you’re wasting time!

MATT STEEL:
Twitter is going nuts now that Jessica on the ladder! Oh my!

Jessica jumped, and perfectly executed the Paraguayan Atmospheric Drop. The crowd exploded as Jessica landed on Emery. And then, the ring collapsed!

MARK SANCTION:
JESSICA TENDONIN JUST BROKE THE GODDAMNED RING!

MATT STEEL:
THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!

The referee had fallen, but as Jessica covered Emery, he began the count.

ONE!

TWO!!

KICKOUT!!!

MARK SANCTION:
HOW THE HELL DID SHE JUST KICK OUT! THIS IS INSANE!

MATT STEEL:
YOU’RE DAMN RIGHT IT IS!

MARK SANCTION:
And remember, Jessica gave away five million dollars at the start of this match! These people are watching this for free!

MATT STEEL:
Holy shit! I’d forgotten!

Jessica was on her knees, catching her breath, and trying to keep her balance as the ring was tilted. Emery began rising. Jessica got to her feet and Emery joined her. Emery struck Jessica in the face, opening another cut, drawing fresh blood, which dripped to the canvas. Jessica staggered back a bit, and Emery half ran, half limped, toward her. Jessica sidestepped her, though, and grabbed her arm.

MARK SANCTION:
Jessica has been bleeding all over the ring like a stuck pig! The ring has been destroyed. Jessica’s gone through a table. Jessica’s jumped off a ladder. And yet, neither of these women have been able to put the other away!

MATT STEEL:
Oh, but she’s got her by the arm!

Jessica was smiling when Emery turned her head to look at her. The Traveller and The Dragon locked eyes. What seemed like an eternity was really two or three seconds. Jessica yanked Emery towards her, and repositioned, and came up under Emery, and had her set up for the Paraguayan Imprint. The arena shook as the fans began chanting “FINISH HER!” at the top of their lungs.

MARK SANCTION:
These fans are going absolutely insane! They are loving this!

MATT STEEL:
THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!

Jessica yanked Emery towards her, and ducked underneath her, and then stood with the Supreme XWA Champion on her shoulders. Managing to keep her balance in the lopsided ring, Jessica ran towards the side of the ring where the ropes and come undone. And with a screaming jump, Jessica drove Emery into the arena floor.

MARK SANCTION:
PARAGUAYAN IMPRINT! EMERY JUST GOT SMASHED INTO THE FLOOR!

MATT STEEL:
THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!

MARK SANCTION:
How much more of this can either of these women take!

MATT STEEL:
I don’t know, but this match is showing why these women are where they are in their careers! I’m even impressed by that thief Emery!

Both women were unmoving. The referee climbed out of the ring to check on both of them. When both were unresponsive, he rolled back into the ring, and began counting them out.

MARK SANCTION:
Referee starting the count, but I honestly would be shocked if either of them are able to answer it!

MATT STEEL:
I have to agree. That Paraguayan Imprint took more out of Jessica than she intended, it seems!

When the referee reached a five count, Jessica was pulling herself up onto the lopsided apron. Jessica held up her hand, in the referee’s direction, and he stopped counting. The crowd cheered, realizing Jessica had used the Dragon Force Choke on him!

MARK SANCTION:
WAIT! Can she do that to the official?!

MATT STEEL:
Apparently!

Jessica crawled to the ladder, and slowly began pulling herself up, favoring her leg still. It took nearly a minute to reach the top, but when she did, she turned towards the referee again, holding up her hand, and he continued to stay still, and his face was turning quite red. Jessica stood, now, and gestured to the crowd, before crouching. From the crouch, Jessica jumped vertically nearly ten feet, before plummeting to the floor, looking to nail Emery with the Spinning Double Stomp, also known as Pain from Paraguay.

MARK SANCTION:
Both of these women have earned trips to the ER after this match. And if Jessica - OMG! Pain From Paraguay!

MATT STEEL:
OMG! EMERY LAYTON!

MARK SANCTION:
EMERY LAYTON HAS JUST JUMPED OFF OUR TABLE HERE, AND GRABBED JESSICA, AND TOOK HER DOWN WITH A MOVE THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE HER PRIKASA!

MATT STEEL:
SUPREME XWA CHAMPION!!

The referee collapsed to the mat, presumably passed out. Emery was on her knees, dizzy. Jessica was out. Emery struggled to her feet and began to drag Jessica into the ring. Kirk Samson came running down the ramp and awkwardly slid into the ring.

MARK SANCTION:
What is he doing out here?!

MATT STEEL:
It looks like Tickles is down for the count this time, and we NEED a referee to finish this match.

Emery looks at Samson suspiciously before dropping into a cover.

ONE!

TWO!!

MARK SANCTION:
My dead great, great, great, grandmother can count faster than that!

MATT STEEL:
There have been rumors about this guy...and we know Jessica’s got deep pockets.

Emery had gotten up, and now, she looked angry. She got in Samson’s face and began arguing with him about the slow count. Samson pointed in her face and held up two fingers. Emery shoved him backwards, and a manilla envelope fell out of his pants leg. Samson made a grab for it, but Emery was faster.

MARK SANCTION:
No...don’t tell me...

MATT STEEL:
Holy shit…

Emery ripped the envelope open, and removed the contents. A big wad of hundreds, which she threw into the air. The fans booed loudly. Emery stared angrily at Samson, and he stared back, wide eyed. Without warning, Emery jumped onto his shoulders and leaned back.

MARK SANCTION:
Frankensteiner on the referee!

MATT STEEL:
Emery has just snapped. And I don’t blame her.

Emery stood, and turned, walking right into a Dragon Dream from Jessica, and the crowd went into a frenzy.

MARK SANCTION:
Emery was rightly angry, but that might have just cost her the match, and the championship!

MATT STEEL:
Only if Jessica can capitalize. And we get a referee.

As Jessica crawled over to Emery and pulled her into a Grapevine Rear Naked Choke, Tickles began to stir. The crowd was going insane as Jessica locked it in.

MARK SANCTION:
Feral Dragon Wrap from the challenger! Referee coming around!

MATT STEEL:
But can Emery beat it, or will we see a new champion!?

As the referee came around, Emery managed to get her foot on one the remaining ropes that hadn’t been collapsed. Jessica released the hold, and rolled to her knees.

MARK SANCTION:
Rope break and this match will continue, but for how long, nobody knows. These two have given each other everything they have, and it hasn’t been enough yet.

MATT STEEL:
These two gladiators are pushing themselves to the limit, Mark, and when you think about what’s on the line, you know why!

Both women were on their feet, now. Without warning, Emery jumped onto Jessica’s shoulders, going for another Frankensteiner. Emery held on and rolled through and bridged over Jessica, pinning her.

ONE!

TWO!!

KICKOUT!!!

MARK SANCTION:
I don’t know how, but Jessica has kicked out yet again!

MATT STEEL:
Because she wants the gold, sucka!

Emery was first to her feet, and she dragged Jessica with her. Out of nowhere, Jessica grabbed Emery’s arm, turned, crouched, and came up under her.

MARK SANCTION:
She’s going for it again! Paraguayan Imprint time!

MATT STEEL:
I’ve gotta wonder how, after all they’ve been through, they are still able to stand up straight period, let alone in that collapsed ring. And there she goes with the Imprint!

Jessica drove Emery into the mat with a thud. Emery crumbled onto her back, and Jessica collapsed backwards from exhaustion. The referee stood over them, and the crowd chanted both of their names.

MARK SANCTION:
I have to believe that’s all Jessica had left in the tank, ladies and gentlemen! A finisher like that takes it out of you, especially the way Jessica uses it!

MATT STEEL:
If she can get to a cover, she might be able to end this, right here!

Jessica struggled to roll over, and draped an arm across Emery’s chest, and the referee began the count.

ONE!

TWO!!

THREE!!!

As the referee struck the mat for the third time, the crowd thundered. The war had finally come to and end. Both women had given everything they had. The bell rung, but was barely heard over the din of the Chilean fans.

MARK SANCTION:
I...I am in awe of what we’ve just witnessed here tonight, ladies and gentlemen, and it has come to this shocking end!

MATT STEEL:
Jessica Tendonin, has just defeated Emery Layton, ladies and gentlemen.

The referee helped Jessica to her feet, and held her arm up in victory.

HANA RAMIEREZ:
Ladies and gentlemen, at a time of one hour and seven minutes, this match has come to an end. The winner, by pinfall, and new -

The fans follow up - "And New!"

HANA RAMIEREZ:
Supreme XWA Champion...JESSICA TENDONIN!

MARK SANCTION:
Jessica Tendonin made her debut here in XWA, in Chile, with a bang. First, she gave away five million dollars. Then, she jumped off the ladder and literally slammed into Emery so hard that the ring collapsed. And then, they kept going at it until Jessica hit the Imprint, and sealed the deal.

MATT STEEL:
We’ve just witnessed this woman winning her nineteenth world championship, Mark. Nineteen!

The referee handed Jessica the SCW International Heavyweight Championship, the SCW World Heavyweight Championship, and finally...the coveted Supreme XWA Championship. The fans are going insane as their cheers shake the arena. Jessica gestured for a microphone. Someone hands her one, but it is a moment or two before the fans calm down enough for her to be heard.

JESSICA TENDONIN
Wow...I don’t know what to say. I came here, and...I expected (cough) a hell of a fight. (deep breath) But Emery...the Lethal Lakeen...you’ve pushed me to a limit I didn’t think I could be pushed to anymore. (deep breath) You have shown me that you are every bit as special as they’ve said you were. (cough) This has been, an honor. Ashley, Izzy, Jessica, come on out here. I need some help carrying my hard work.

The three women who had twice been kicked out of the arena, returned now, and they weren’t alone. A tall, nearly seven foot tall man came with them.

JESSICA TENDONIN
Good, yes...bring my love, Lucius, as well.

The crowd cheered as the group made their way to the ring.

JESSICA TENDONIN
Come on...don't be shy.

The three women climbed into the ring, and Jessica passed the three belts to them. The blonde man held Jessica up and she kissed his cheek.

JESSICA TENDONIN
Paige Lewis...I cannot begin to explain the hell I am going to unleash upon you on March 10th. You thought you could stick your nose in my business...all you’ve done is anger me. I’ve beaten you once. Tonight, I’ve beaten the Worst of the Pavees, even with your interference. On March 10th...I will make you a footnote in the history of this business!

Emery was on her feet again. She stood in front of Jessica. Jessica, Izzy, Jessica, and Ashley stared back. Emery smiled and held out her hand to the new Supreme XWA Champion. Jessica took her hand and shook it with a smile. As the broadcast ended, there was an advert for Union Battleground’s Crown of the King Cobra finals. This was followed by the XWA logo, and then nothing.

Emery Layton
What I liked:
Yet another match from DJS with a real story feel to it. I love how so much is incorporated into this match, from the storylines from other feds to the actual storyline pushed here. The selling is really on point here, and I really like how much of a contrast Emery is to DJS and yet you still work her perfectly. Also, the reveal of Serena Maxwell's return was pretty creepy. Well done.

What I disliked:
While I like some of the incorporation of the other storylines, it does get a little confusing when you don't follow the other feds or aren't following along on twitter, even with some explanation in there. Also, this might be personal preference, but I feel like the Prikasa would've been a more believable finish than the Wuthering Heights after a brutal fight like that and Emery being exhausted, but again, may be personal preference.

Personal Favourite Part:

It's the moments like these that really show off the shine that DJS/Emery adds to the XWA. She is not big or imposing or any of that stuff, but she has the heart of a lion.

Personal Least Favourite Part:

I already explained this. Just feel like after the teasing of the Prikasa and missing it combined with her being beaten down, the simpler top-rope flip stunner made more sense to me. Still, I think that could be personal preference.

Constructive Criticism for Next Time:
Not much to say, honestly.

Final Comments:
You suck.

-------

Jessica Tendonin
What I liked: Commentary was pretty on point and done well. Some of the spots were actually pretty entertaining and done differently than I'm used to, which isn't a bad thing. Not to mention the working of the Paige Lewis match into this match was done well.

What I disliked:
There was a distinct lack of descriptions for a lot of moves, no real set up or payoff for them, just a this-than-this pattern that really made the match feel rushed. Also, there was a lot of no-selling moves in this, especially finishers, which is a real turn-off for me because it kills the impact of the move. No selling finishers also removes the importance of that move, because if it doesn't finish the match and it doesn't keep the opponent down for more than a few seconds after it's done to them, then it's not a finisher. And I do see that the Dragon Force Choke is on your move list, but that move completely breaks immersion for me and pulled me out of the match.

Personal Favourite Part:

I did rather enjoy how Paige Lewis was worked into this match to set up Jessica's match with her.

Personal Least Favourite Part:

This really epitomizes most of my dislikes. Not only was the chokeslam completely no-sold by Emery, but then that choke really pulls me out of the match cos it's not feasible. I understand that a bit of Kayfabe is allowing the suspension of disbelief, but that is way past that. Even if I get past that and if the character actually has the ability to force choke someone, why is that not the finish of their matches?

Constructive Criticism for Next Time:
Try to have the characters sell the moves they're being hit with, it really shows that the match has progressed and that moves do affect the wrestlers involved, plus it really helps you pace the match when you slow it down a little bit. Even in a squash match, being a little tired from pounding some unfortunate sap still draws the reader into the match. Also, try not to have so many finishers actually land and not be the finish. It's fine to bust them out, but maybe have the move miss or get countered, at least when the wrestlers are relatively fresh.

Final Comments:
It was a little weird to read a match in the past tense, but that was more a "me" problem and I got over it. I see a lot of potential here, and I feel like if you stuck around and worked the XWA style a bit, you'll be in the Hall of Fame, no joke.

Emery Layton
What I liked: I love how you made Emery out to be the underdog, and she is the one walking in with the championship. Really set a great tone to the match.

What I disliked: Can’t say much here!

Personal Favourite Part: So many parts! I loved the punching with the ass line, but I have to say my favorite part absolutely was the match epilogue! The story continues and it just makes me want more!

Personal Least Favourite Part: #BootyStrongStyle, makes me sad there was no follow up

Constructive Criticism for Next Time:

Jessica Tendonin
What I liked: Sportsmanship is what I’m all about, so loved the beginning fist bump!

What I disliked: Money raining from the sky felt like pandering to me.

Personal Favourite Part: The slow count was very well done!

Personal Least Favourite Part: Going for a ladder in a standard match did not come across well to me, felt very heelish.

Emery Layton
What I liked:
The build up of Jess for anyone that doesn't know her to feel like HEy! She is a big deal! Emery being the less experienced champ shined through while reading it. Even though Jess seemed dominate throughout the match, Emery seemed to learn along the way and that was cool. It all lead to the finish which seemed picture perfect for the type of Character Emery is. Maxwell's appearance creeped me out, haha! I wasn't sure what to think, but her viciousness was an awesome prelude.

What I disliked:
I was not a huge fan of the jeering back and forth from the crowd. I think for me I would have been too wore out for the ending you were building up to if I had been watching at home.

Personal Favourite Part:
That Northern Lights Suplex spot into the nearfall. The set up, detail and transition into the count with the comentary was very captivating for me. I could believe for a second Jessica was going to win.

Personal Least Favourite Part:
Spear to an ariel attack, nobody gonna want to do this, but if they had to, they would find a way to slow it down. (I think to myself all the time) I just couldn't wrap my head around why Jess would want to take a big risk rather than go for at least one pin attempt first before getting desperate enough for the risk.

Constructive Criticism for Next Time:
I would probably pace the crowd a little more. I might do this myself not sure, but it was just the biggest flaw I did notice.

Final Comments:
Great work! This seemed to feature both talents amazingly. I only wish I felt a little more informed about Jessica.
4.5/5 Stars

-------

JESSICA TENDONIN
What I liked:
I liked the opening, being your character it was a very nice introduction to her. You also did better than DJS on telling me who Paige Lewis is and why should she be imporant to me. I like the fist bump it fits the fighter mentality more that Jess seems to be. The sneaky cheat thing tied so nicely into Paige Lewis' interferance! I loved it. lol
Throughout the match Jess' determination to put on a great show was very clear and made it easy to see why people would be torn seeing her against Emery.

What I disliked:
The Wuthering Heights I felt could have been a much bigger impact than it was used. It was the same with the Prikasa spot, it would have been an opertune time for Jess to show some agility and power which was displayed in DJS's version. The large spots like with the chants from the other one felt to exhausting the way they were stung together.

Personal Favourite Part:
The foot on the bottom rope after the Prikasa three count. This was so good, reading it from a go Jess standpoint I was so angry at first and than was like yay she still in it. I felt it was a really good vibe to feed her fans.

Personal Least Favourite Part:
the Psycho Driver, I think it came out a little too early for my liking.

Constructive Criticism for Next Time:
I guess the same as in pacing. The stunts were so awesome, but imo just felt like a little too much perhaps? The ladder coming out in the match was when I think I started to feel stuff was a little too big perhaps.

Final Comments:
I very much liked this it felt different and that really hooked me with the story telling.

Overall Match Comments:
This was so fun to read both of you. I appreciate the effort put in by both people. I think Emery's just felt a tad bit more realistic. Which is what gave her the vote. I really enjoyed getting to know Jessica through her match. I hope to get to see much more down the line! :D
