Two good friends turned bitter rivals meet one-on-one after months of endless fighting, but this time neither of them can run away from their problems as they find themselves trapped inside a steel cage!
The battle lines have been drawn- don't miss this one!

Camera view from the crowd brings us back from commercial.
Mark Sanction: We are back on Fool’s Gold, live from Manchester, England. Mark Sanction and Matt Steel at ringside…
The lights begin to flash as that weird cage lowering music plays throughout the stadium speakers. The cage made of steel comes descending down…
Mark Sanction: And… there is the steel cage. Locked inside will be the two combatants in the next match-up: Austin Carter and Trevor Miller, and Matt that cage can be and will be used as a weapon.
Matt Steel: And there’s not a doubt about that, Mark. It is a weapon, it’s steel, it rips your body apart which can basically shorten your career. This my friends, will be nasty.
The cage completely covers the ring ropes, stopping as it hits the ring apron.
On cue, the song XIV by LEINY hits the stadium speakers, the lights go out as the stage begins to fill up with smoke. Everything goes black including the screens, that until moments before the beat drops and an image emerges from the screen:
“BOW DOWN TO YOUR KING!”
Once the beat drops, the spotlight shines about the man of the hour as boos come raining down from all sides. Wearing his crown and leather vest, he poses for “his people” with one arm up with his hands opened wide and his eyes closed. Miller brings his arm down slowly as the lights come on, as if he were commanding the lights. He walks 2 or 3 steps before stopping, the camera angle makes it seem as if the crowd is calling for “their king” as they have their arms out “wanting to touch him”. Miller looks around at the sea of flashing lights and smiles.
DING, DING, DING!
Hana Ramierez: The following contest is a steel cage match. The match is won by pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage. Making his way to the ring... From Alton, Illinois, Weighing in at 207 lbs, He is the "King of Flight"... TREVOR!!! MILLER!!!
Matt Steel: Well ya know, Mark. There is no secret that this man, Trevor Miller has changed. Used to be upbeat and happy, look at the face of this guy…
The cameras switch from Miller to the crowd, more specifically a certain person in the said crowd. The XWA seems to have a familiar guest on hand for the night’s show.
Mark Sanction: In the crowd, here tonight at Etihad Stadium, we have “The Crimson Bullet” Adeline La Roux, taking in the festivities tonight. You may recognize her from promotions like UWE, Perfect 10 wrestling, Outback Pro and the new, Rose City Wrestling.
The crowd cheers for The French-Canadian beauty as she smiles and winks. The camera fades back to Miller, who makes his way to the ring, ignoring the sounds of hatred coming from the crowd. He looks up at the cage as the screen switches to a montage of how we got here in the first place. Let Mark Sanction give you a short, not so little recap.
Mark Sanction: This match-up between Austin Carter and Trevor Miller has been building for months…
Footage of better times between Carter and Miller are shown. Images of the two men hugging each other, showing their brotherly bond.
Mark Sanction: … These two men closer than family, when this rivalry started on Massacre when XWA took their flagship show overseas to Xtreme Cruiselines. It was GRVTY 2.0 against Nueva Era tainos. A match-up in which Carter and Miller would lose, but the night didn’t end there as Trevor would show his true colors…
We return to that fateful night in June, more specifically the moment after the match. The moment where Miller kicks Carter square in the chin begins to play as he lifts his former partner up and hits the Millerdryller.
Mark Sanction: This rivalry would turn heated at the Opening Round of the Lord of the Ring Tournament, where Miller took on Cassius Reed for a spot in the Quarterfinals. A match that Miller would lose thanks to some interference by Carter…
Back to Japan we go, where we see Carter and Miller standing off against each other as one of them has a chair in hand. The footage continues on as the pair are broken up by Cassius Reed getting up between them, shoving them both apart. Looking down at the chair, Austin nods his head, slowly. He thanks Cassius, turns as if to leave, letting Cassius turn his attention back to Trevor… only to spin round and blast Cassius in the back with the chair.
Mark Sanction: The night wouldn’t end there as the two would handle their issues backstage…
The tron in the stadium switches to the scenes that occurred after Miller/Reed. We view the part of Carter running on crates, fast enough to avoid getting caught. Once in view of Miller, he jumps onto Miller, landing a right hand, knocking the “KING” down to the ground. Carter rushes to mount Miller, with a flurry of punches following afterwards. By this time, Carter’s group are mostly on the ground, collecting Carter, who’s putting up a fight with them. Miller is still on the ground, trying to land the last punch but his group has already pulled him away from the area. The two men are helped up, as police arrive on the scene with Richard J. Maxwell.
Mark Sanction: ... in an all out brawl, that had to be broken up by most all of the tournament roster and eventually the Japanese police. And so we revisit Russia, where Austin Carter faced Robert Hope at our last Massacre. Carter would win this match clean. But it was the moments afterwards that we are going to look at to kinda give you a glimpse as to how we got this match. An interview before the show even started, Miller announced that he was given the right to pick and choose what match the two would have here tonight.
The ending of Carter/Hope is played as Carter is in the ring surrounded by four security guard, all four stationed at all four sides of the square. The lights of the arena begin to dim with only a few lights flickering on and off to the lowering of a cage made of steel. Miller sits at the top, holding on to the wires that hold the cage. He laughs as he looks down at Carter, “SURPRISE!”. A smirk is drawn upon the Daredevil’s face.
Mark Sanction: And…. that ladies and gentlemen brings us to right here, right now…
With the montage over we view the ring where Trevor Miller has entered and reached the top of the cage, standing tall. He looks around at the Manchester crowd and smiles.
Mark Sanction: And… Trevor Miller on top of the steel cage. As for Trevor, some ominous words last Massacre, Matt, telling Austin Carter that he “plans on making his life a living hell”.
Matt Steel: Well… it’s quite understandable given the fact that Austin Carter’s the one who’s provoked Miller into this match. Like you said Carter cost Miller a chance at becoming Lord of the Ring, a chance at becoming a Champion, a chance at a higher payday - something “FIT FOR A KING”. Austin’s actions prevented Trevor from achieving such a status, and I wouldn’t expect Trevor from giving him anything less than hell tonight.
Blue lights flicker as the beginning of Citizen Erased by Muse begins to play through the sound systems followed by a massive pop from the crowd. Smoke overwhelms the stage as the guitar riff in the intro of the song rings out. The camera’s pan to Austin Carter emerging from the bottom of the stage via platform as cheers from the crowd being to fill the arena. He is not alone as Amy Taylor is on said platform with him. Both Carter and Taylor step out onto the stage. Carter turns around so the crowd can see his backside. Pyrotechnics go off as he brings his arms up, striking his chest twice. Afterwards, he spreads both his arms making peace signs with his hands, as if his body were a cross.
Hana Ramierez: From Chicago, Illinois, Weighing in at 205 lbs, He is the "Windy City Daredevil".... AUSTIN!!! CARTER!!!
He proceeds to walk to the edge of the ring with Taylor not far behind…
Mark Sanction: Austin Carter has built his career on being the underdog. Has built his career on heart, on soul and on resilience. One thing that I’ve discovered about Carter over the past year I’ve known him is that he cares about those close to him, and that list one time included Trevor Miller, up until that night on the boat. Miller was a man Carter trusted, a man he called family. Tonight they are nothing but bitter rivals and one can only assume what violence could go on inside that cage.
Matt Steel: Like I said before, Miller is out for blood. Carter cost Miller everything he needed to make him the best. I’m telling you now, THIS. IS. WAR.
Carter removes his vest, giving it to Taylor, who puts it on and makes her way to a seat set out for her near the commentators desk. Carter waits for Referee Johnston on the outside to open the Cage door to enter. Running up the steps and entering the ring. Upon entry, time is not wasted as Trevor Miller, forces Austin Carter down by tackling his waist. Referee Tickles quickly calls for the bell:
DING, DING, DING!
Mark Sanction: And… Miller taking out Carter!
Miller is quick to transition to a belly-to-back position on the ground before Carter can even react. Miller is on his feet, with the hold still applied, he tries for the deadlift but Carter reverses any attempt with back elbows to the face of Miller.
Mark Sanction: Remember there are only 3 ways to win: pinfalls, submissions, or escaping the cage. There are no disqualifications here.
Miller doesn’t let up that easy as he turn Carter around and strikes with a knee to the gut. Miller, now grabbing the arm of his opponent, swinging Carter towards the corner behind them only to pull-back towards him. Upon his return, Miller wraps his arms around Carter’s waist, flipping him over by violently bridging his own body so Carter lands on his back.
Mark Sanction: Overhead Suplex by Miller!
Carter rolls over to his stomach as Miller lifts him up to his feet. Grabbing hold of the arm again, he performs the same motion as before with another pull-back overhead suplex. This time around, Miller is how you would say, amped up. He’s enjoying this, let him have the moment, yeah? Back to Carter and he lifts him up for a third time, going for the whip but Carter is vigilant. Faking Miller out as he pretends to grab his head, he steals Miller’s left arm from under him. He goes to trap the arm, like he would do in his crossface, as Miller goes to his knees but the hold is broken by way of a roll forward.
Mark Sanction: Carter looking for the Crippler Crossface but Miller wisely rolls out of it.
Both men briefly stare at each other before one of them makes the first move to resume the match, that man being Trevor Miller, who charges at Carter only to get caught again in an attempt at the trapping of the arm. Miller, this time is wise to reverse it, grabbing Carter’s left arm. Up and over, he wrenches the arm, but Carter switches Miller up. Carter has now regained control over Miller’s left as the men circle the ring in hopes to gain the advantage of the other, Carter trying to lock in his crossface and Miller trying to win back his arm. Miller is on his feet again, forcing a break on the hold as he switches to left side of Carter’s body. He places his hand over the neck of his foe and pushes his face towards the steel structure.
Mark Sanction: And the cage being used as a weapon. Miller not wasting anytime, doing damage on Austin Carter.
Matt Steel: As well as, Miller fulfilling his promise of giving Carter hell. He’s just getting started!
He IS just getting started as he lifts Carter up to his feet, grabbing the back of the neck again, forcing his opponent towards the cage wall. Carter falls to the canvas, holding his head as Miller walks around smiling, almost laughing at his actions. Now returning to Carter, Miller strikes with a “King-Styled” Stomp. One time to the abdomen, second time to the back of neck, and a third time to the bare back. Carter, now rolls on over to all fours whereas Miller isn’t far behind him, bringing him onto his feet and forcing him face first into the turnbuckles next to them. Carter turns himself to face his “royal” opponent, as Miller hammers away with a flurry of punches to the head. The “King” switches mid-attack to kicks to the gut of his opponent.
Matt Steel: Miller just demonstrating the greatness of the KING!
Mark Sanction: What has he done to be called a “KING”?...
Miller strikes the head once more but Carter reverses it, shoving him into the corner. Carter slaps the chest of his opponent with the palm of the hand using a backhand swing. He goes for the backhand again, and again. From the chops, he moves up to Miller’s head, paying him back with a couple punches of his own before return back to the chest, lighting it up with a chop.
Mark Sanction: And Carter with great combo in the corner…
From the impact of the chop, Miller squats in the corner, holding onto the ropes with one hand. Carter comes back with a strike to the head once more, before Irish whipping Miller to the other side of the ring. During the exchange, Miller reverses the whip, sending Carter, himself into the corner. A charge from Miller is halted as Carter brings up his feet, preventing any attack. Miller walks to the middle of the ring and Carter is there with him, resorting back to the knife edge chops. He strikes twice before whipping Miller into the corner behind him. Carter charges at him, but Miller, lifts him mid-way, forcing Carter's head to hit the top of the cage.
Matt Steel: Mark, you asked me asked me earlier about what makes, Trevor Miller a King… THAT RIGHT THERE IS WHAT MAKES A KING!!!! The way he finds a way to stay one step ahead of his opponent...
Mark Sanction: That still doesn't prove anything, you basically described most everyone on the roster.
Matt Steel: You're just mad that Carter's lost control. I mean, he might be out by the way his head catapulted off the steel, but who am I to assume anything, right?
Carter falls onto the corner turnbuckles after the impact. Miller, on the other side of the ring, holding his chest as he looks around, he spots Adeline La Roux in the front row. He yells, “LOOK AT WHAT I DID TO YOUR BOYFRIEND! I'M JUST GETTING STARTED!”
Mark Sanction: Trevor Miller is just a bully. Adeline La Roux just came here to watch the show and he's just rubbing his actions in her face!
Matt Steel: Oh, stop being a baby, Mark. He's just having a harmless conversation with her during the match about her… *ahem* “boyfriend”? Seriously, she found Carter to be attractive? The world must be ending.
The match resumes as Miller returns to his downed opponent. Lifting him lifts up so that his body is horizontal across Miller's body. Miller backs up and runs towards the cage wall, with the cage being hit with Carter's backside. Miller drops Carter and immediately goes to stomping at the torso, moving his boot up to the neck of his opponent, pressing against it to prevent any flow of oxygen to the brain. Carter struggles underneath the bottom rope as Tickles interferes, pushing Miller off (or at least trying) of him for the moment.
Mark Sanction: SEE THAT! THAT RIGHT THERE IS UNCALLED FOR! Miller is a man possessed on trying to blantly murder Austin Carter!
Matt Steel: Cool your tits, would ya?! It’s ALLOWED! No disqualifications in this one, Mark. And plus, Carter deserves that after what he’s put Miller through these past few months.
Mark Sanction: Oh, you have got to be kidding me…
Miller pulls back but not before getting one last stomp to the face. Trevor comes back, lifting Austin off of the ground and onto his feet. He places his hand behind the neck of his opponent as he forces him face first against the steel another time. Carter falls back first onto the canvas, but Miller isn’t going to let up as he brings Carter back to a vertical base. Before Miller could go on the attack, Carter fights back with a knife edge chop, and another before kicking Miller in the gut. He applies a front facelock to his opponent, draping Miller’s near arm over his shoulder, when Miller is in position he is lifted to an upside-down position before Carter falls backwards slamming his back into the mat. Carter doesn't release the hold, instead rolling his legs and body into a standing position to execute a second suplex, then repeats the process for a third but Miller reverses with a knee strike to the chest. He lifts his knee again for another strike to the chest and another. Miller takes a step back, trying not to fall back as he locks his arms around Carter's waist, lifting him up and slamming him over back-first down to the mat.
Mark Sanction: Gutwrench, taking down Carter, does Miller.
Lifting Carter off the ground, the process is repeated for a second time. Miller isn’t finished as third time’s the charm with a third and final gutwrench suplex to Carter. After the suplex, Miller makes it his business to make a beeline outta there as he climbs up the ropes and onto the cage wall…
Mark Sanction: What happened to making Carter’s life a living hell… was that all he was going to do?
Matt Steel: Shut up, Mark! This is all but a game plan to try to get into Carter’s head, you watch!
Up to his feet and Carter isn’t having none of this as he climbs up after Miller, in his attempt to bring him down from the wall. On the first attempt, Miller kicks Carter out of his grip of his tights. Second attempt, is the same outcome with yet another kick from Miller. On the third attempt, Carter climbs up besides Miller, only for him to slam Carter’s head into the cage wall multiple times. Miraculously, Carter is still hanging on the cage as Miller hops up, trying to go over. Grabbing his tights, Carter bringing Miller down as he moves behind him.
Mark Sanction: Miller tried to escape the cage but Carter brought his back in…
Matt Steel: Oh, no! Oh, no! His hands are locked!
Mark Sanction: Miller, hanging on to the cage for dear life…
Matt Steel: Carter’s hands are locked!
Mark Sanction: Austin Carter wants to suplex Miller from the top rope, he may very well try to break Miller’s neck here.
As Miller refuses to let go of the cage, Carter resorts to an overhead strike to the back of his former brother. Miller tries to elbow Carter off of him but it only forces Carter to strike harder…
Mark Sanction: Carter pounding Miller’s spine… to get him to break that hold… that death grip from the top…
Mark Sanction/ Matt Steel: OH MY GOD!
Those words echo around the arena as the crowd falls silent. Austin Carter has just fallen backwards, slamming Miller down to the mat shoulder and upper back first. The silence from the crowd is temporary as it grows louder than it was before with chants so familiar, “HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!” The camera cuts to the commentary booth where Matt Steel, head in hand, is in utter belief as Mark Sanction screams into his headpiece to speak over the noise of the crowd.
Mark Sanction: I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT! THAT IS UNGODLY!
Both men continue to stay down as he head over to the replay, TAKE IT AWAY PEOPLE IN THE VAN!
Mark Sanction: This could very well be the beginning of the end...
Austin Carter is behind the opponent, his hands locked around the waist of Trevor Miller. He lifts him up, and falls backwards while bridging his back and legs, slamming Miller down to the mat shoulder and upper back first.
Crowd view of a random guy in the… well… crowd, looking quite shocked as his hands find a way to the top of his head in disbelief.
Matt Steel: That’s a very destructive move by Carter, but I wouldn’t count out Trevor Miller just yet.
“Ok, breaks ova!”
Back in the ring, there is movement from the daredevil, the “king” not so much, but we’ll get there. Up to all fours and then to his feet is Carter, groggy but steady on his feet. He looks at Miller, who’s holding his neck but barely moving an inch. He then looks to the top of the cage, much to the delight of the Manchester Crowd, “WE WANT HIGH RISK, CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP! WE WANT HIGH RISK, CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP! WE WANT HIGH RISK, CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP!”
Mark Sanction: The UK crowd is just electric! They’re clearly wanting something that Austin Carter can give them.
Matt Steel: I hope he falls off the cage…
Mark Sanction: WHAT THE HELL, MATT!
Matt Steel: What?! Did I say that out loud?
Shaking his head, Carter walks towards the corner, climbing the turnbuckles, eventually scaling up the wall and to the top of the cage. Below in the ring, Miller rolls onto his stomach, pushing himself up to his feet with his hands. Miller spots Carter and quickly hops up to his feet. He rushes towards the ropes, practically jumping them as he meets with his opponent. The two fight, with Miller gaining the upper hand as he slams Carter's head into the wall, causing him to fall back first onto the canvas. Miller, now on the ropes alone, in his mind he believes that he can give the crowd the high risk maneuver they've been wanting, but better. Bouncing off the ropes, Miller executes a backflip and lands on Carter below.
Mark Sanction: And now Miller dropping onto Carter with a moonsault…
Matt Steel: PIN HIM1 PIN HIM! PIN HIM!
The crowd expresses their disapproval of the move with sour chants, “THAT WAS AWFUL! CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP! THAT WAS AWFUL! CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP!” Back to the action, Carter rolls onto his stomach, pushing himself up to his feet as Miller does the same. Miller quick to strike with a right hook but Carter is quick himself to block it and strike with a right hand of his own, one that Miller does nothing to prevent. The process is repeated with Miller going for the right, Carter blocking it and striking with his right, not once, not twice but three times. As Carter is building up momentum in his punches, Miller fast to stop it, moving his hand down past his opponent's eye, dragging his fingers across the eye to cause pain and visual problems.
Mark Sanction: Right hand by Carter, not once but three times, before Miller raked the eye.
Miller takes advantage of the moment in an attempt to whip Carter to the ropes behind him, but Carter reverses it in the middle, sending Miller towards the ropes. Bouncing off them, Miller’s energy off the ropes are used against him when Carter shoves him into the steel. The impact sends the “King” flipping back into the middle of the ring...
Mark Sanction: Our “King” just ate a mouthful of steel cage!
… and, he’d do it again as Carter grabs a hold of his tights, throwing him into the wall of steel for a second time.
Matt Steel: Come on, Trevor, get on him. Offense, offense, something you wouldn’t know anything about, Mark.
Mark Sanction: Whatever.
Carter grabs hold of the tights of his opponent for a second time, tossing him head first into the cage. He stomps at the back of Miller’s neck, just for the hell of it before walking away from him. One last look back at his opponent before heading up to the top rope of the nearby corner, climbing the cage wall for a second time, this time with no hopes of high risked maneuver. Miller, get’s to his feet in time, bringing Carter down the only way he knows how, raising his arm up between the legs…
Mark Sanction: OH! Low blow! And remember that’s allowed because there are no disqualifications here.
Matt Steel: There’s that offensive I was talking about! Highly effective moves being shown here by Miller.
Mark Sanction: That blow didn’t seem very “King-like”...
Matt Steel: It’s his kingdom and he can do what he wants in it, Sanction!
Carter’s down as Miller hangs on the ropes smiling at the crowd with that evil smirk of his. Miller walks back to his fallen rival, nearly falling over as he goes to lift Carter’s head off the ground. Miller bends over with Carter standing to the side of him. He pulls his opponent's arm over his far shoulder and distributes Carter's body over his shoulders while having the other hand between and holding onto one of the legs of his opponent and stands up. Carter is draped face-down across Miller's shoulders, with Miller's hands underneath Carter’s body. Miller pushes the body upwards and into the air, falling back as he lifts a leg and kicks up over his waist and chest, hitting Carter with the top of his foot in the head.
Matt Steel: MMIILLEEERDDRRYYLLEERRRR!!!!!!!!
Mark Sanction: The Millerdryller just drilled Carter and Miller just might have him here…
Matt Steel: And just like there’s three ways to win, there are three ways to lose: Be pinned, submit, or the other man escapes like what Miller is doing right now!
What Steel is referring to is that fact that Miller wasted little to no time making his way up turnbuckles. He stops at the top rope, realizing that he could hit the finishing touch, right here. He scales up the wall and perches himself at the top, his back turned away from the crowd, his front facing a “knocked out” Austin Carter. Miller jumps, performing a senton, flipping 630 degrees forward before landing…
Mark Sanction: OH MY GOD! Miller went for everything there and got nothing! Nobody home for the senton! MY GOD! From the top of the cage!
Matt Steel: Look at this Trevor Miller, all the way down…
Miller jumps, performing a senton, flipping 630 degrees forward before landing on nothing but the canvas as Carter rolls out to safety.
Matt Steel: He gained nothing, NOTHING! From the death-defying maneuver.
From the replay we return back to the action, where Austin Carter is back up to his feet with thanks to the ropes as the support system. He goes to Miller, who's using the ropes as well but moving slower than that of Carter. His head is exposed, giving Carter the opportunity to attack with a big boot. Lifting him off the ground now by way of his arm, Carter pushes Miller towards the ropes for help whipping him towards the other side of the ring. As Miller comes towards him, Carter lifts up his left knee, striking Miller in the gut as he flips back onto the canvas. From his back, Miller rolls onto his hands as Carter lifts him again, pushing him towards the ropes behind him, pulling his arm towards his direction. He sends Miller back to the ropes and upon his return, Carter hits him with another kitchen sink.
Mark Sanction: Carter just burying the knee in Miller…
Looking for a third attempt, Carter walks over to Miller, bringing him to his feet once more. Back pushed towards the ropes behind him, Miller is pulled just like the last two times, but this time he reverses the irish whip attempt. Spinning around Carter, now grabbing hold of his arm, he pulls Carter towards the ropes intended for him. As Carter runs back towards him, Miller moves aside, placing his hand of Carter’s neck, he forces Carter’s head back into the steel of the cage.
Matt Steel: Stay on him, Trevor, stay on him!
Mark Sanction: Miller able to sidestep Carter… Carter crashing into the cage.
Miller lifts Carter up to a vertical base, reaching between the his legs with one arm and around the his back from the same side with the other arm. Trevor then lifts Austin up over their shoulder, and runs towards the cage wall with Carter’s head exposed to the steel once again. The collision of skull and steel sends Carter falling back onto the canvas. Miller turns to Carter, taking the sweetest of all time to return to him. Once he does, he lifts him up with the same intention as last time. Reaching between the legs with one arm and his other on Carter’s back, he brings his opponent up to his shoulders. He runs towards the cage again but Carter slips out of his grasp just in the nick of time, pushing Miller into the wall. Miller walks back into the arms of Carter as he grabs his waist. lifting Miller up, Carter falls backwards, bridging his back and legs, slamming Miller down to the mat shoulder and upper back first.
Mark Sanction: Miller trying to punish… CARTER!
Matt Steel: NO, NO, NO!!!!
Carter rolls himself into another position to perform the german again…
Mark Sanction: How many? Will there be 10? We’ve got eight to go… That’s two!
Carter rolls over for the third attempt…
Mark Sanction: A trifecta!
Rolling over for a fourth attempt but Miller moves his leg behind Carter’s to prevent it. Miller strikes back with back elbows to the head, breaking the hold.
Matt Steel: It’s a block! It’s a block by Miller!
Miller turns to face Carter, charging with a clothesline that is dodged by Carter, who is quick to transition back into grabbing Miller’s waist. He lifts him off the ground and falls backwards, completing the german suplex for the fourth time.
Mark Sanction: The tenacious Carter...
Rolling over and back on his feet for his fifth attempt…
Matt Steel: Number 5! We’ve seen 5!
Carter is back to his feet…
Matt Steel: Not 6…
Much to Steel’s unfavorable opinion, Carter completes his sixth german suplex, and this time he releases the hold completely. Both men down, but only for a mere couple seconds before Carter is up on his knees and then to his feet. He steadies himself on his feet before heading over to Referee Johnston at the cage door. Johnston goes to unlock the door as Carter walks closer to it. He turns his back for a split second to see Miller up on his feet and charging, Carter moves out of the way just in time, leaving Miller to hit nothing but steel. Miller’s mistake allows Carter the chance at german suplex lucky number seven…
Matt Steel: Number 7! He may be going for number 8!
Carter rolls around to complete his eighth german…
Mark Sanction: Good God! I can't believe this.
He is up on his feet for his ninth attempt, slamming Miller upper back first. He releases the hold for performing the german suplex’s have drained him as much as they drained his opponent.
Matt Steel: Miller should've taken the match when he had it… but he wanted to punish Carter… he wanted to prove something to Bella Quinn and Ace Andrews, prove that he's capable of being in the main event status quo.
Rolling from his back onto his hands and knees, Carter uses the ropes to get onto his feet completely. He stretches back out before heading over to the corner turnbuckles in front of him. He skips over the bottom turnbuckle, climbing onto the middle buckle and then the top, he makes his way up the cage wall all the way to the top.
Mark Sanction: My God, what’s Carter doing here? Is Carter going to escape? Carter looking to climb over!
Carter’s leg reaches over the top of the cage but the camera catches something else, someone else.
Mark Sanction: What the hell?!
A vigilante in a mask jumps over the barricade, umbrella in hand. They rushes towards the side of the cage where Carter is trying to escape. Using the umbrella, he strikes the cage, threatening Carter from the floor, by the tone of his voice, we know the masked individual is a male. “COME ON DOWN HERE! COME ON!” He strikes the cage again as Carter stands to his feet at the top, clearly his plans for escaping have just been cut. Now, there’s only one way out and that way is also Carter’s favorite.
Matt Steel: So right now, Carter has to choose between being locked in the cage with Miller or come out of the cage and fight the wild masked man, violently waving around an umbrella.
He looks back at Miller and then to the crowd, back at miller and then back at the crowd. He’s careful to turn himself around on the top as he now faces the ring…
Mark Sanction: Oh my God! Wait a minute…
Matt Steel: Oh no…
“DAREDEVIL! DAREDEVIL! DAREDEVIL!”
Carter lifts the thumbs up…
Mark Sanction: No, come on Austin… NO DON”T!
Matt Steel: DON”T DO IT!
Carter jumps forward from the top of the cage, twisting 360° in mid-air before performing a backflip onto Miller all the way to the canvas floor.
Mark Sanction: Carter hits his star press from the top of the cage! He just fell 10 feet!
Mark Sanction: My god, take a look at this…
Austin Carter jumps forward from the top of the cage, twisting 360° in mid-air, executing a backflip onto Miller all the way to the canvas floor.
Mark Sanction: Absolutely, indescribable…
Back in the ring, Miller is out on one side of the ring as Carter is rolling around in pain from the slam, it’s done more damage to him then to Miller himself.
Mark Sanction: The risk… the risk that Carter took, Matt!
Matt Steel: The risk that Carter took, he had two choices: He could attempt a suicidal maneuver like that or he can come down outside the cage and face the mysterious unknown individual!
Mark Sanction: The lengths Austin Carter is willing to go to win this match, to outdo his opponent.
More movement is being shown in the ring, with Carter getting up to his knees. He tries to get up to his feet, but falls back onto his knee. Outside the ring, the masked man strikes Referee Johnston with the umbrella. He goes to hold the door, preventing Carter from escaping the cage for a second time tonight. Inside the ring, Carter is at said door, trying to figure out why the hell would some rando come in and keep him from winning. Carter’s had enough up to this point, using the ropes as a swing, he kicks the door with both of his feet, sending the vigilante flying towards the barricade.
Mark Sanction: John doe was holding on to the door and Carter with both feet right to his face.
Carter’s down but it doesn’t keep him from trying to escape the cage through the open door. By this time, Miller is getting to his feet and he notices the position Carter is in. Miller practically jumps on Carter, trapping the left leg in between his legs, he secures the leg with his arms so the Carter's kneecap points towards the body. Miller then applies pressure with his hips, forcing Carter's leg to straighten, hyperextending the knee joint. “AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!”
Matt Steel: KNEEBAR! KNEEBAR BY MILLER!
Mark Sanction: Carter caught in the kneebar, remember there’s no disqualifications, those ropes won’t do a damn thing!
Carter, desperately holding onto the ropes, but is aware that this is no DQ and understands that the ropes won’t do nothing to help his case. Carter, brings his arms near his chest, pushing up as he manages to force Miller to ease up on the hold while he gets to his feet. With his left leg still in Miller’s possession, Carter brings up his other leg, striking the back of his opponent's head.
Mark Sanction: Scored with the enziguri! Carter still in this thing…
Carter hopelessly crawls towards the door…
Mark Sanction: Carter now is gonna win here! Carter’s got a shot, Carter’s got a chance to escape the cage!
He’s made it to the door, using the ropes to get to his feet, he tries for the exit through the middle rope… WHAM!
Mark Sanction: Oh no! That damn idiot just slammed the door right in Carter’s head…
Miller, now on his feet. He notices what’s just happened as well as noticing the grand interruptor. On his face the look of confusion turns into a smile so wide, the size could've been compared to that of a football field.
Mark Sanction: Wait a minute… what was that smile? Was this a plan of Miller’s all a along?!
Matt Steel: If so, that’s brilliant!
Miller lifts Carter up to his feet for the final time, pulling his arm over his far shoulder, distributing his opponent's body over his shoulders while having his other hand between and holding onto one of Carter's legs and stands up. Miller then places his hands underneath Carter’s body, he pushes up, throwing Carter into the air. As he comes down, Miller falls back, lifting his leg for the overhead kick on Carter. As Carter falls onto his back, Miller covers him…
Mark Sanction: Not like this!
“ONE! TWO! THREE!
“DING, DING, DING!”
Hana Ramierez: Here is your winner… Trevor Miller!
Miller goes to his knees after the pin, his eyes stuck on Carter as Referee Tickles helps him to his feet, lifting his hand in victory. The disapproval from the crowd couldn't be anymore evident, they absolutely hate this outcome. But that doesn’t faze Miller, he loves the hate. Once he’s felt like he’s had enough of the “praise”, he forcefully steals his arm back, “GET OUT OF MY RING!” Hesitant at first, but tickles complies with the command.
Mark Sanction: Seriously, what makes Miller such a bully, who made him like this?
Matt Steel: Uhh… Exhibit A, the man he just beat.
Speaking of the man whom Miller has just beaten, Carter shows life. Turning to face Miller’s boots, he places his hand on his former partner’s knee pad, helping himself to his knees in doing so. Unknowing to Carter, the umbrella wheeling masked match-ruiner has entered the ring and locked the door behind him (what a nice guy, huh?). Austin looks up to Trevor, his eyes widened in exhaustion. Miller takes his eyes off of Carter and looks to his new found friend. A nod signals for a striking of the umbrella to the head of Austin Carter. Carter falls onto Miller’s legs as the attacker unmasks himself.
Mark Sanction: WHAT THE HELL! That’s Danny Hall! One of our newer signees… he’s… he’s helping Miller?!
Matt Steel: Well, I’ll be damned.
Both Hall and Miller laugh to each other before Hall, pulls the left leg of Carter closer to the corner nearest the the cage entry. Hall traps the leg in between his own, securing the leg with his arms. Hall then applies pressure with his hips, forcing the Carter’s leg to straighten. All the while, Miller is up on the top rope, perched wait for Hall’s signal. A nod and Miller’s jumps down, dropping his feet into Carter’s knee.
Mark Sanction: Oh my god, oh my god! Did you see the way Carter’s knee bent.
“FUCK!!!! FUCK!!!! FUCK!!!! FUCK!!!! FUCK!!!!” As the hold is released Carter crawls into another corner nursing his knee. But things are only getting worse… Austin’s got a manager. “HURRY UP AND LIFT THIS UP! SOMEONE GET THE MEDICS!” After all is set and done, Amy Taylor is of course left on the outside, watching her client suffer in the ring and waiting for the Cage to ascend back up to the rafters. It isn’t long before both Miller and Hall notice her. As the cage is risen just enough for outside interaction, Hall is the one to act. Moving towards the ropes on Taylor’s side… “YOU CANNOT TOUCH ME, I WILL SUE YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT! DON’T TEST ME!” … he grabs a handful of hair, dragging Taylor into the ring.
Mark Sanction: Oh my god! They’ve got Amy Taylor! Hall’s got Taylor!
Hall wraps Taylor's legs around his waist, applying a gutwrench hold, lifting Her up off the ground into the air. Miller goes for a jump, but Carter is there trying to prevent anything from happening to his manager, holding onto Miller’s legs. Miller shoos him away, with a kick to the head. But Carter’s stalling paid off in a BIG way. As Miller returns to Hall and Taylor, he notices two figures running from the back and towards the ring. One with fiery hair and the other with a blond streak in his, The crowd goes insane at the sight of such a power couple. Miller’s eyes widen just as Carter’s did before but this was a slight bit more filled of fear.
Mark Sanction: Austin Carter was distracting Miller! AJ Morales and Emery Layton are here to prevent more bad things from happening tonight.
Hall releases the hold on Taylor, dropping her on the canvas as he and Miller make a break for it through the crowd. AJ and Em make sure they’re as far away as possible before tending to their allies. AJ, of course goes to Austin while Emery checks on Amy. The medical staff finally arrives on scene, they’re ready to help Carter out of the ring. Austin rolls out onto the apron as two men in black shirts help him up from it, not wanting to have his left leg to hit the ground, they help him all the way to the backstage with Taylor and co following alongside him. The crowd showing a sign of respect for the Daredevil, “THANK YOU CARTER! CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP!” “THANK YOU CARTER! CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP!” “THANK YOU CARTER! CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP!”
Mark Sanction: The crowd here in Manchester showing their love for the Chicagoan. Ladies and Gentlemen, we will give you an update of Austin Carter’s condition once we receive word but as for right now… we’ll be back.
