Mark Sanction
Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to another amazing night here on XWA Massacre! Later on tonight, we have Blake Archer and el Conejo a Dos face off against Ace Andrews and the Levinator in a Tag Team Classic Quarter Finals match.

Tempest
And don’t forget Storied History faces off against Hyphy Machinery later as well!

Mark Sanction
That’s right, Tempest, and our main event has Smith Jones facing off against Jake Rogers for the XWA World Television Championship! But, up first, we have a bit of a David verses Goliath match. Lance Jackson, or as he came to be known at Texas A&M, Lancelot, faces off tonight against the high-flying Cortez Columbus.

Tempest
Don’t discount Cortez so easily, Sanction, he is facing a newbie!

Mark Sanction
Right again, Tempest. But, again, Lance Jackson is nearly seven feet tall, three-hundred fifty pounds, giving him a nearly two-hundred pound advantage, without even needing to mention the foot and a half he towers over the Spanish Luchador.

Tempest
Skill and experience is hell of a lot more telling in this match up to me, Sanction.

The bagpipe intro the Brotherhood by Flatfoot 56 blares through the PA system in the arena.

Mark Sanction
Looks like we are about to find out if you can be right a third time already, Tempest. Here comes the White Knight himself.

Brotherhood by Flatfoot 56 starts out, and once the bagpipes end and the full chorus begins, out walks Lance Jackson. The crowd cheering, though whether it’s for the man walking out or for the Chicago native band playing is unknown. The tall and broad Lance draws a lot of attention however, and he makes his way to ramp side to high five, shoulder pat, and thank the fans for coming out.

Hana Ramierez
Making his way to the ring, weighing in at three-hundred forty-two pounds, from Chicago, IL: Lance Jaaaaaackson!

The crowd joins in with the Woah-Oh-Oh as does Lance shouting it back to them.
Lance reaches the ring and hoists himself to the apron using the top rope, which he subsequently steps over. The crowd cheers even more when he steps up to the second turnbuckle and throws his left fist in the air, his Excalibur sleeve on full display. Lance points, smiles, and nods at any fans with signs rooting him on, arms going wide in an unanswered question to those doing the opposite.

Mark Sanction
XWA fans seem to be responding well to him!

Tempest
They’ll cheer at anyone that waves at them, Mark. Wait till this rookie is getting his ass handed to him and see how much they cheer for him then!

David Guetta’s The World is Mine (remix) takes over and out struts Cortez Columbus, yelling and heckling the crowd that boos him as he walks to the ring. The luchador slid into the ring under the bottom rope, popping to his feet in dramatic fashion. He continues to make rude gestures and comments at the crowd, though its hard to tell what he is saying through the mask and the audio is not picked up on the mic.

Mark Sanction
Our ‘David’ does not seem too pleased by his matchup tonight.

Tempest
Can you blame him? Look at the size of that rookie!

Lance stuck his hand out towards Cortez, a warm smile on his face, as he gave his gesture of respect towards his opponent.

Mark Sanction

Now here is something you don’t see every day, Tempest. Good to see a bit of sportsmanship in our sport today.

Tempest
Yeah, that’s all well and good, but in our business, chivalry is all but dead.

The luchador stared at Lance’s hand for a moment, the crowd shifting between a mix of boos for Columbus and cheers for the gesture of respect offered by his opponent. After a tense few seconds, El Conquistador took Lance’s hand and the two shook. Only, Cortez had a different ending in mind, he spun as he jumped over the arm bringing his foot around to kick the White Knight in the head. At least, that is what Columbus tried to do.
Lance happened to be just out of reach, due to his impressive wing span and instinctual pull back of his head and the luchador put himself, albeit accidentally, into an impromptu arm wrench. Lance, in shock, cocked his head to the side as he held onto his opponents arm, the opponent who was now scowling in pain.

Mark Sanction
What do you think of that, Tempest? Cortez put HIMSELF into an arm wrench.

Tempest
Jackson just got lucky.

Lance then threw Cortez to the ropes, looking to begin his offense in earnest. The luchador decided differently, and jumped to the middle rope and back flipped towards Lance, attempting a cross body blow. Columbus hit, but with not nearly as much force as he expected. Lance caught Cortez on what appeared to be pure instinct, now holding him perpendicular to his own body. Lance was as perplexed by these circumstances as El Conquistador, but chose to capitalize on it by throwing him behind him. Cortez slammed into the mat with a loud THWACK, but bounced back to his feet. The luchador shook his head, freeing the cobwebs, and glared at Lance.

Mark Sanction
Cortez looks to have lost his mojo!

Tempest
Jackson’s size must be throwing off El Conquistador!

Cortez decided to switch strategies and rushed up the opposite turnbuckle, he rose to his feet with a yell and erupted into the air. This time, the luchador looked to be going for a missile dropkick, the soles of his feet angled towards the face of the White Knight. Once more, however, it seemed El Matador Maldito would come up just a little bit short. Lance did not even need to move, the luchador had expected Lance to be chasing him when he scurried up the corner and launched himself, yet Lancelot was choosing the slow and steady approach with his opponent and so he had not moved. Columbus, again, slammed into the mat at Lance’s feet.

Tempest
Jesus, come on Cortez! Show this rookie how it works in the big leagues here at XWA!

Mark Sanction
Your bias is showing…

Lance finally decided to capitalize on his opponent’s gaffs and kneeled on top of El Conquistador. He grabbed luchador’s leg and pulled up, pinning him. Kirk Samson dove down beside the two competitors and began the count….

ONE!
.
.
.
.
TWO!
.
.
KICKOUT!

Cortez spun out of Lance’s grasp and twisted to his feet, this move was the most graceful thing he had done since entering the ring. Instead of taking advantage on his slower opponent who still had not stood up, Columbus decided that stomping around the ring and cursing his bad luck and inaccuracy. Lance rose slowly, watching Cortez warily. While Columbus continued his tirade, Lance decided to show off his less expected skills on the top rope and climbed the corner.
Columbus, to his credit did not miss this and rushed Lance, spinning his body and flipping to hold the White Knight in the beginning of a hurricanrana. When he pulled with his legs, however, Cortez just slipped off flopping back down to the mat. Lance shook his head, baffled by his opponent’s either bad luck or lack of skill, and jumped from the turnbuckle and onto Cortez’s face with a massive leg drop. Cortez’s entire body shook with the impact.

Mark Sanction
This could be it!

Tempest
If only your new hero could do anything on his own instead of relying on his opponent to blunder!

Lance moved into a pin from the leg drop and once more, Kirk Samson began the count….

ONE!
.
.
.
.
TWO!
.
.
.
.
TH…KICKOUT!

Lance stood up nodding, it apparent on his face that that would not be the end of it. He walked to the opposite corner and stood to the top rope raising his arm to the crowd as they cheered. A huge smiled crossed the White Knight’s face as he heard the fifteen-hundred people in attendance cheering him, and as Cortez was finally stirring to his feet, the massive Lance Jackson turned back to his opponent.
The still woozy luchador was stumbling about, still trying to get his bearings. Lance raised an open hand, all his fingers pointing to the rafters. The crowd got to their feet at that, as those in attendance had seen some of his Genesis exploits before. This is was the sign of the Vanguard Charge.
Finally, Cortez had shook off the last attack and finally faced Lance, just as the White Knight’s closed his fingers into and fist and took off full speed at the luchador, lowering his shoulder down to collide with Cortez’s gut. The luchador, despite his speed and alacrity, could not get out of the way, and the three-hundred fifty pound train that was Lance Jackson slammed into Cortez.
Cortez was at the middle of the ring when the impact happened, and his head was near the other corner when he had finished flying backwards. Lance was not immune to the damage himself, and was on his knees near El Conquistador, a hand grasping his own shoulder that was bright red from the speed and power of the collision.

Mark Sanction
WHAT A COLLISION!

Tempest

Mark Sanction
Tempest, did you see that massive hit? I think even the Levinator or Blake Archer would go down after a hit like that!

Tempest
I…well…uh…Yes, Sanction….that was indeed one of the most powerful spears I have ever seen.

Mark Sanction
I think he refers to that as his Vanguard Charge, a take away from his football days…

Lance threw his head back and forth, shaking off the light-headedness that comes from such a powerful tackle before roaring into the air. The crowd responded to his roar with one of their own, the cheer and screams of those in attendance got the White Knight moving again, and he crawled on his hands and knees to the nigh-unconscious luchador, placing and a hand on his chest. Kirk Samson began the count…

ONE!
.
.
.
.
TWO!
.
.
.
.
THREE!

Hana Ramierez
And, your winner, Lance Jaaaaaaaaackson!

Kirk Samson moved to hold Lance’s hand up, but the winner waved the ref off moving over to check on his opponent. Lance stood and held and a hand out to Cortez, offering to help him up. The luchador glared at Lance for a moment before accepting, and getting to his feet. The White Knight once more offered his hand to Cortez in respect, but the luchador refused, cursing and yelling up a storm as he exited the ring and arena, to which Lance could only shrug.
Now, Kirk Samson could lift Lance’s hand and officially declare him the winner. Lance proceeded to each turnbuckle and threw up his right arm, yelling in victory to the crowd. They roared back at him and he gave them a huge smile with each roar.

Mark Sanction
Lance is awfully excited about his first victory, isn’t he Tempest?

Tempest
Too excited. He needs to get out of the ring and the let the show continue.

Mark Sanction
Well, look at that, Tempest, you were right a third time tonight. I hate to agree, but the rookie needs to head back stage, he has been out here long enough.

Hana eventually made her way over to Lance before he could head to his fourth turnbuckle and gave a gentle, but firm reminder he needed to head backstage. At the soft admonition he threw his head back and laughed, at himself it appeared, and gave Hana a smile before heading to the ropes and deftly hopping to ringside. As he made his way to the stage and his exit, he stopped to high five and say hello and thank you to several fans along the way.

Mark Sanction
Tempest…I think I just saw Hana blush when our rookie gave her a grin.

Tempest
Bullshit, Sanction, Hana doesn’t take to just anybody, especially not some rookie!

Mark Sanction
That jealousy I detect in your voice?

Tempest
Shut up!

Mark Sanction
Stay with us folks, lots of great action remaining on XWA Massacre!
